Though I did not take 2010 examination, I am still interested to know the causes of failure. I hope the discussion here would help all aspirants including myself. Those who appeared in 2010, please post your experience of Islamiat subject.

This was my 1st commission exam of any sort. I believe mental strength is most imp. Islamiat paper was not that tough. I got 23 and i could have passed this paper if i would have been mentally prepared.
When i went through msqs portion i was totally crashed as i only put 3 mcqs correct. I couldnt concentrate on subjective portion. This is the reason on my part. One has to be mentally prepared to observe any kind of shocks in paper so as it would not affect any other part of the paper.

@ waqar
MCQS definitely create a hell of difference. Not only they basket good marks but also strengthen our nerves for our subjective portion. MCQS of this paper were quite difficult and unseen. This not only brought a decline in score on their own part but also effected subjective portion as well. Can anyone suggest some nice books for meeting the challenge of MCQS? It is not talking but walking that brings us nearer to our goals. |

Failure reason
Hello All!
well i think main difference was created by MCQs, i got hardly 2 to 3 mcqs right. Besides i attempted 4 question completely, despite i got just 30. so ultimately what i think it was MCQ portion which became the deciding factor in my case.

every 1 of u put forward his perception about islamiat, but in my opinion, its consecutive 6th paper on 3rd day, a lot of mental stress, fatigue were there. we shared the best of our knowledge, ideas and comments in paper. but there was -10/15 policy/formula of FPSC to reduced the number of passed students making them eligable for next session i-e viva voice. may we have our deficiencies too.but it was the status cuo maintained by FPSC to hanged the students in Islamiat and Essay. |

i dont agree with u in all these reasons.... the main cause ov our failure in this subject was lack of solid attention plus over-effeciency u know what the isalmiyat paper-checker wants...? Simple concepts in plain words. No rhetoric, no debates, no discussions and no references. only pure and plain heavenly concepts. and that waz the main reason ov our collective failure in it. Regards

I agree with waqas in total. But 6th position of islamyat as mentioned by Asif also played its part. This is not the opinion of me alone . Few other friends also thought so. Moreover Urdu handwriting also contributed to bring about my failure this year. Now I have gird up my loin to do this paper in English. Do suggest some comprehensive books in English. Regards |
