Default Better to go for islamiat in english

I took CSS 2011 n unfortunately went for islamiat in urdu....the main reason for selecting urdu was dat through out academics we study islamiat in urdu. i hoped dat i will benefit from my previous memory. but islamiat is a second name for current affairs now. I found it hard to use good urdu words n my paper lacked expression. After completing 5,6 yrs of uni education, we remain out of touch frm urdu n we r more fluent in written english than in urdu. so better to go for islamiat in english..

i think this vary person to person...there are lot of people who found some difficulty thinking in English, therefore people select Islamiyat in Urdu...

I agree with maria, I was thinking going for it in english, but decided not to change my decision at the eleventh hour..... now i lamant dat it would have been better if i had solved it in english....before starting my preparation, i frequently visited this site to get an idea abt eng/urdu......everyone said dat opt the language in which u feel easy.............i just want to say that islamiat is now a B paper of currentaffairs......the candidates must decide whether they can solve a currantaffairs paper better in eng/urdu..........forget its not the islamiat v used 2 study n wrote bundles of pages n pages

I concur. Your medium of answer should not depend upon the type of paper lol. That just sounds so unconnected.

You should attempt the paper in any medium you feel comfortable about.

I think it vary person to person . But my personal experience suggests that its far better to attempt the paper in english . In my maiden attempt I attempted Islamyat paper in urdu and it brought about my fall . I did good in rest of the papers but failed in this paper . Yes my paper was not upto mark but I feel my bad handwriting was one of the cheap factors which resulted in my failure . Besides bad handwriting , it was very slow both in thinking as well as writing . I hardly could write questions . This year I have attempted the paper in english . Not only my writing was better , I was in better position and had better expression while doing my paper . And I did give conclusion of all questions . Moreover I was able to write quite good number of pages while last year I couldn't even finish my allotted sheet . So keeping in they my personal experience I would give brotherly suggestion to all the aspirants to think seriously about attempting this paper in English . Nothing aao be predicted but I an almost certain that I would be able to pass this subject with the grace of Almighty Allah, the subject which proved to be nightmare for me last year . May Allah be with me . I an giving this suggesition because giving proper suggesition is also Sadqa .
