To know about the basics, you can even consult book of B.A.You can take ayat & ahadees as references from that book. There is an easy book by Attiya Bano, you can consult that.Keep in mind one thing, paper is not bookish type so you have to be analytical in your approach and should have 'up to date' knowledge.

All the best !

I wanted to ask everyone is saying we have to mention ahadits & ayat. whats the difference?

One should quote the holy verses/ahadith.It supports one's question.

Well,it depends on your memorizing capability. It's always better to memorize the easiest and shortest ayat/hadith.As I'm not good at cramming so I prefer translation rather than arabic verses.I will suggest you the same.
