How to prepare Pakistan Affairs?
Pakistan affairs is quite a lengthy and tough paper and needs much more critical analysis than any other subject after current affairs. The approach used to prepare this subject should be very effective and must cover all important and unimportant events in the history of Pakistan.
Simultaneously, this paper helps in preparing the Paper II of Indo-Pak history paper and one needs not to prepare that paper. Regarding books, I recommend following books as these are also used by me.
But I have one question in my mind, Do we need to prepare our own notes for this subject? Because the topics provided in Bhatti’s book are written in a very nice style. Dear members, I would like you to share your experiences, approaches, comments and books used for this subject. |

Dear
Nobody is replying you, let me reply. I have studied Pakistan Affairs from " Ikram Rabbani " i think this book is more than enough to prepare you for exam. it contains digestible English and details are given. My Strategy of Preperation: I have read the whole book of Ikram Rabbani in 5 Days + Prepared my OWN notes from it in my own written expression. Every week I re-read them again to retain them. Alhamdullilah Atleast 5 Questions i Can easily do from each year of Pakistan Studies Paper. InshAllah i am going to appear in 2010. Some of the books provide very moderate and different view of freedom struggle than typical patriotic kind of books that are mostly read by us. Authors like Maulana Abul Kalam Azad provide a different view of history that contemporary authors.
What should be the strategy in this regard? Please provide your comments and suggestions.

@ Omar
Dear,
My strategy covers the following points, 1) Accurate Topics to learn 2) No Ratafication 3) Good Presentation includes ( Analysis and Conclusion in Questions ) According to your question, if we read books of authors like Mulana Abdul Kalam Azan or such as others, it will take much time. Yes ! Indeed it shows you the both way of reality, but the Situation is we are Pakistani and we have to write in Favaour to our hitherto Pakistani leaders, If you write against them it might trouble us. Ikram Rabani Contains CRITICAL ANALYSIS also which is enough to make balance in topic between both sides. Furthermore, if you try to digest more material it might be possible that you cant retain it or could bad impact on your other SUBJECTS. Cheers, REMEMBER ME IN YOUR PRAYERS M.WAQAS ANWAR SOOMRO |

pak aff prep
currently I am studying "Stuggle for Pakistan" by I.H.Qureshi. it is nice and comprehensive book.
the thing which is confusing me is whenever i m searching for material I cameacross a bunch of notes and articles in this forum. any senior please suggest, can we rely on the material shared in this forum. If yes, then I don't think we should go for other sources. because we are getting enough from this wonderful forum. looking forward for your replies.

i concur with your views and opinions, first of all IKRAM RABBANI.s book is indeed very brief and extensive book which is enough for the whole pak affairs, moreover, its easy to comprehend..
Being a student of political i personally prefer this book for pak affairs.. but BUNKO tell us in a brief way how we can make analysis of a question?come up with example?
