Default Outline, headings or simple paragraphing

Seniors, please clarify what is the best way of attempting papers other than essay. Should we start each question with a separate outline or just give headings where necessary? And what if we don't give any heading but divide the various aspects of an answer in different paragraphs?

What method the examiners mostly appreciate and like????

Please reply soon as papers are coming near too fast.

Outline before any question is not necessary, however you should take appropriate headings in each and every question....

remember in some papers outlines are appreciated like current affairs, pak affairs and islamiat. in others they are not needed at all like EDS and compostion.

now how they should be given.

break question in different parts according to the nature of question. make main headings from the question and add your own sub heading under each main heading.

outline of questions should not exceed half a page.

start question with introduction. introductory paragraph should b attractive and encompass ur whole question.

now deal each heading and subheading separatly. write headings with a marker. but their must b a clear cut distinction between main headings and sub headings.

hope it will help u a bit

@ marilatif, many thanks for prompt reply but I am a little confused. Wouldn't outline + headings consume much time???? Isn't just outline or only headings enough????

You should never include outline as a part of the answer. It should be made but in the rough so the only purpose it serves is to guide you

IMO outline would serve to apprise the examiner of how you have perceived or comprehended the question. I submit that such steps facilitate the examiner in judging your answer thereby creating a positive impression.

Its just my opinion and not an advice; the final decision is always at your discretion

Experience? No. I am not an examiner if thats what you meant to ask...

I appeared in the last examination but flunked. I speak only out of that experience. Therefore, I emphasized that its not my "advice" but just an "opinion". I believe that I am not in a position to advice anyone, not unless make it through.
