for Pre Partition "trek to pakistan" by ahmed saeed is the best ever book written.

for Post partition Ikram rabbani is more than enough.

You must read "Trek to Pakistan" for pre partition era .
i.h qureshi and rubanni's books are also good . i think a combination on Ahmed saeed, qureshi and rubanni is more than enough to secure good marks.

I have gone through all the above three books, ikram rabbani's, IH Qureshi's and Ahmed Saeed's but I have found them them mainly just narratives of the happenings of pre-partition period, with a very little analysis, comments or critical reasoning for events. Then I came across Sohail Bhatti's(exactly as in case shampoo or whitening cream advertisings :p). It got everything any aspirant would need i.e facts, background, analysis and effects on future happenings for all events. And the intellect of the book is no way a of keybook, its too rational for a commercial writer.
And for constitutional and political issues of post-partition period, hamid khan has written a nice piece.

Select one topic , lets say Sir Syed Ahmed. consult the past papers for this topic and try to understand what kind of questions asked which would give you a general idea how to prepare any topic. i would suggest you to have a print of Pakistan affairs study plan uploaded by a member REDMAX which would help you in this regard.

Study the above mentioned topic from all books you have. highlight the main points and pen them down under a relevant title in your note book. i know its kinda hard job but believe me it would help you a lot .

one thing more, currently examiner is not interested in old historical figure , eg in Sir Syed Ahmed examiner is more interested in his political philosophy, educational revolution , intellectual achievement etc.

you have to put more effort for Pre Partition era, regarding Post partition era the initial problems faced by Pakistan is important and the events upto 1958 the first martial law.

In Ayud era focus on Basic democrats and economical reforms (best explianed in Ikram rabbani book)
In Bhattu era focus on Nationalism (Ikram rabbani)
In Zia era focus on Islamiasation (Ikram rabbani)

after that you dont need to waste your time on other Governments eg nawaz, musharraf ,zardari or benazir era's.

Now come to the Present. at least 2 Questions would be asked about current political , economical and sociological situation of Pakistan (no need to cover that section specially if you are good in current affairs)

15 days is more than enough for making notes, and it would not take more than 7 days to memorize the notes and all facts excluding the MCQ's.

@ imbi: can you please paste the link of study plan here?
and what about the amendments in the constituion e.g 7th,14th et al?
do we need to grill ourselves in the major amendments made as well?
