Default can anybody explain cabinet mission as per query demand

The proposals of the cabinet mission could defer the establishment of pakistan , if accepted by muslim league. Evaluate critically

In March 1946 the British made their final effort to settle the difference within India. A three man delegation was sent to try to find a settlement accepted for all. This 'cabinet mission' met the representatives of the Muslim League, Congress, the Sikhs & the Hindu Mahasabha.

The delegation soon found that there was little common ground between the League and the Congress. Jinnah was insisting for partition & Congress was opposed to any partition.

The Cabinet Mission therefore decided on a different approach. It proposed that an interim government should be setup to rule India. The government would form an All-India commission from members of the Provincial and Central Legislatures. The commission would then decide whether there should be one or two states after the British had left.

The plan was rejected by both League and Congress, but the delegation continued its work. and in May 1946 the Cabinet Mission announced its final plan.

It rejected the idea of establishing Pakistan.

Instead there would be 3 different parts to a post-British India:

The hindu majority territories
The western muslim provinces
Bengal & Assam

Each part would have local autonomy & would be able to draw up its own constitution.

Foreign Affairs, Defense & communication would be managed by a central Indian Union.

Nehru said that the Congress would not feel bound by the plan once the British had left. These comments clearly show that if the Cabinet plan was accepted by the League then of course there would no point that Muslims suffer again by Congress as they already suffered in 1937 to 1939 under Congress rule.

The plan itself clearly stated that it rejected the idea of establishing Pakistan. If it was accepted then there would be no Pakistan therefore, the Cabinet plan was dropped was League.
