Trek to pakistan by ahmad saeed for pre.partition and Rabbani for post partition.

But rabani is precise and lacks quotations. You can find quotations in trek to pak on every event and it clears everything .

Rabbani is better (being precise), and if u see the latest paper, you will understand that a good attempt demands a grasp on the current affairs of Pakistan. History and background are of relatively less importance.

In CSS we need to write with some perspective and one book will never give you a wider perspective on a certain topic. one book if i recommend would be Ikram Rubbani's one but as it would suffice for covering whole syllabus of Pak Affairs but if you have time( which i hope at that stage you have if you are appearing for 2013 attempt) then you must go for both of these...

You would have to remember short ones and important ones . Not all of these . Only remember them , those whl thjnk covers whole topic . Trek to pakistan is full of qiotations , uoj would have to make your viewpoint from them .

Ikram rabbanis is best to make a combination with any one of book i.e trek or struggle.

Default O Levels History Books

I did my O levels back in 2002 and studied from Ikram rabbani's book for it. I remember it being good with precise. However, I dont have the book anymore. My brother is currently doing his O levels and have two history books by Nigel Kelly and Nigel Oscar. The syllabus for CSS Pak Affairs seem to be consistent with that of O Levels. Do you think that it'll be sufficient to consult the Nigel books only?

The pattern we've been watching in the last ce2013 and 2013 faislabad papers, is not only from ikram rabbani, i.h.qureshi or whatsoever but it is the whole mixture of pre and post elements of pak affairs (including present scenario topics as well). So be sharp and do not view or rely only on these two or three books.
