In order to know the system, you need to have "means" to get into the system.

Hey, Mubeen. Excellent attempt. I didn't comment on your DMC because there really wasn't much to say. Your marks in Essay and Precis suggest that you perhaps lacked a bit of luck. Seven marks gap in Precis can be easily covered. You must yourself know what was lacking in Precis. Last year, I got 35 in Precis and I knew exactly why. 5-10 marks gap can be filled easily especially in a subject like Precis. Regarding Essay, again 10 marks gap may be due to some structural problem, perhaps length, perhaps due to some content or even due to lack of cohesiveness, coherence etc. You yourself need to analyse the essay and I am fairly positive that you'll find the weakness. Go for 2023 attempt and INSHAALLAH you'll do great.

I did not have the enabling environment to go to academies, wesay bhi I think academies are a wastage of time. For my first attempt I did go to Sir Sagheer in Islamabad for a month only. I could not continue with him because of mom's illness. My strategy for Precis was giving 2 hours daily to precis i-e memorising 10 pairs of words, 10 synonyms, 10 antonyms and idioms on daily basis and after a week I would cram all these things. Apart from these I would also do exercises of Direct Indirect, Active Passive voice, Sentence correction, punctuation , etc ... . I divided days, like is din direct indirect or sentence correction hogi and is din punctuation etc. Weekly precis and translation from previous papers was also part of my plan. Usually Sundays were dedicated for Weekly Precis and translation and essay and revising previous week's progress of English grammar. I would recommend you to use a register rather than loose sheets, this way you can review your exercises daily. It's a slow process but it's worth it. I was hoping 90 marks in Precis paper but you know CSS is unpredictable. I don't exactly remember the book name from which I did exercises I will share it with you tomorrow InshaAllah. for Idioms and Pairs of words I used Exploring the World of English.
