if we assume that the seats as given above are actually allocaated to punjab then 17 dmg as minority will be lower in merit and then 8 psp and 11 fsp and pakistan customs 2 seats and other seats dmg 2 open merit and psp 1 open merit and fsp 2 open merit that makes 43 and 12 from other provinces that would be 55 meaningthereby from 56 and onwards irs will start from punjab...further what about the two candidates who are going to be given seats from this year...please shed light on this and share ur calculation...thanks

Samreen:
As they say" mysterious are the ways of heavens" , so is the case with vacancies. We can merely speculate according to quota information that a lay man has, the rest depends on the wishes and whims of ED.
Total seats announced for GBFATA is 7 and out of these seven seats 2 are reserved for women. No carried over seat for women. In 2011 women were given 3 out of 13 seats, out of which one women seat was carried over from 2010. Women have a quota of 10%, so this year they should have been given 0.7 seats, which can be rounded to 1, not 2 as is the case this year.
Any logic? I don't find any.
So an easy remedy to get allocated: tell your parents to pray more.
It's all luck dear. On the caprices of ED , we are destined to live the rest of our lives.
Good luck and pray harder.

Wink Army Quota already deducted.

I believe Army Quota has already been deducted from these seats. They were 206 originally but after deduction of 8 seats for Army, they were left to 198. So I don't think there would be any further deductions .
