You know very well how good those countries are, better to live there as an ordinary professional than a king in this hell. Good luck anyways.

I'm not here to judge anyone but I agree with you. It's unfortunate that people return to Pakistan to 'rule' instead of coming back to serve. No wonder this country is going down the drain. To such people I say good luck being third class citizens abroad. Pakistan will do just fine without you.

my compulsory papers went pretty well may be one question was a disaster it had something to do with islamization and zia and i supported that with solid arguments which some how I realized later if examiner is not fan of that he/she will surely get infuriated by my answer

Rest Allah knows best what will be the outcome.. I gave CSS in 2012 without preparation and failed in G.K 109/300 rest I passed somehow without knowing anything then left for KSA for job and came back to give CSS 2015 with preparation so lets see what happens. I have no regrets for leaving job or coming back. We plan and Allah plans and Allah is best of planners.

May you all be blessed with good news when result comes. Ameen

I dont think it's true. Everybody who failed in my opinion must have made writing mistakes. Plus, I know many people who cannot do sentence correction and Narration correctly. Which clearly shows your command in english. So if i happen to do all of the grammar questions correctly, express my ideas clearly in expansion, give answers correctly in comprehension. Why would the examiner fail me if i couldn't complete the precis? That's outrageous to believe. Even if it were true, there may be some exceptions. I mean the examiner is no robot. He can guage the candidate's ability by scanning the paper. I also have checked papers. I talk with an examiners point of view here. Lots of candidates write gibberish in paper. When the examiner comes to see a decent paper after checking ten non-sensical papers, he will atleast give passing marks to that candidate. Morever, if what u say is true, that was for last year. This year there might be a different criteria. As a general rule, when the paper is hard, examiners tend to be a little lenient on scoring. Plus, last year's paper was easy overall. So, if a candidate couldnt do the precis if a comparitively very easy paper, he would certainly get low marks.

Anyway, Let's see what the fate has in store for me. Fingers crossed.

I respect you as a senior but I have my own experiences and opinions just like you do. I did not mean hell "literally" but figuratively and comparatively. We have to accept the reality on its face because the first step towards making this country a heaven is to realise its problems.

That was judgemental, sorry to say. If people leave Pakistan, they say brain drain and non-patriotic, if people come back, they say oh they want to rule. Please don't give me advices and lectures about patriotism and third class citizenships. I have cut my chest and spilt blood for this country. I put my life on the line during those hard days when people wouldn't even go out of their homes. I have lived abroad and in Pakistan but sorry to say, a third class citizen over there is better than a first class citizen over here. There is no respect for an ordinary educated person here only money and power is respected.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. Clearly my experience differs from yours. I'm not a jingoistic patriot, still I find your views to be slightly hypocritical, that's all. I hope your hard work pays off, good luck.

I wouldn't call them hypocritical. But yes truth and reality is bitter sometimes. Just delve deep into the reasons of our current brain-drain and standing in global index rankings (HDI, The Economist, UN, Transparency, Gallop, etc).

My feelings are almost exactly the ones Sir Syed Ahmed Khan had around 150 years ago. I hope you understand.

Thanks and good luck to you too!

Well, as a matter of fact, I was well settled there, it was only my desire to serve this country that brought me back. All my relatives and friends did not agree with the decision when I came back, unknowing what lies ahead. Apart from CSS there's absolutely nothing to do here. I tried my luck at PMS as well but despite securing 902 marks I couldn't get allocated as there were only 6 seats for Zone-2. There's nothing left for me now apart from CSS result this time. The issue is not whether one qualifies CSS or not but that there's absolutely no chance that one can make it in this land of pure. I feel like valueless despite being a genuine student all my career. May be a foriegn country would once again bail me out!!

Looks like you guys have already given up on the result. You never know what lies in store for you. Atleast, wait for the result before cursing this country. You guys are blessed enough to have acquired education abroad. There are many here who only dream to get good education in a foreign university but cannot go because of financial or other reasons. Atleast, you guys have a chance to start it all over again. But you are giving up on 1st attempt only. I also let go of my masters degree abroad. I could have gone continued my studies abroad but i chose this career path. I do not regret it. Because it was a choice that I made. I really really want this time to pass cause it was my final attempt. But even if i fail, i know God has better plans for me. So please, do not be hopeless. And believe in His plans for you.
