Thank you very much for the feed back guys.

I have done MA Political Science, and have studied Sociology and Journalism in my bachelors aswell.

Even though I have done MA in political science, I am afraid Political Science can be a bit technical subject and I was reluctant to opt it because I thought it might not be "scoring", but if you think it is a safe subject to pick, then I'll consider it.

Thanks.

If you will say my choice i will definitely go for Islamic History. Islamic History I is so easy as we have learnt everything in our lower classes.
Inshallah, I'll go through the syllabus of the subjects you have recommended and look into those.

I am acquainted with International Law and International relations, as these two subjects were part of the MA political course. How ever I am unable to decide which one I should select.By that I mean, which one might be better "scoring" and a safe pick.

If you think it might be a risk, then I may consider some other subject, as recommended.

One thing I am certain of right now is, I am gonna select Sociology and Journalism for sure.

Again. Thanks for the feed back guys.

Hello dear, Psychology is a good subject to go for, but keep in mind that in CE-13 it went beyond the control of those who lacked in background and basics of the subject, and the marks of failures of 2013 represent that very well. However in CE-14 the psychology papers present the same story from 2012 and the marking can exceed 150 mark. So it would be very hard to predict whether psychology would remain safe in 2015 or not, if you have a medical background or you are sound in psychological concepts then you should go for it. Otherwise you should re-consider the idea of opting psychology and think again about punjabi and journalism. All depends on you in the end.

Books for Psychology:
1. Themes and variations by Wayne and Weiten
2. Psychology by Saundra K. Ciccarelli
3. Psychology and Life 16th Edition - Richard Gerrig and Philip Zimbardo
4. Book of Feldman
5. Book of Shaherbano

Select any two books out of these and leave the rest.

Dear Usman, I assume you are trying to ask about the announcement date of CSS 2015. If so, then it will remain probably the same, announcement will be made in October this year, and the exam will be conducted in Feb 2015. However If the screening test is conducted then it would take place in August-September, being announced in June-July this year. I hope you query is answered properly.

My pleasure dear. Keep one thing in mind, your aptitude and interest are the entities that make any subject safer and easier, or vulnerable and difficult, regardless of its nature. But yes, scoring is somehow influenced by the trend of the time, so always beware of that.

Stay Blessed

Yeah colosal i fully agreed others ready made tactics are insufficient as people are least concerned with our success or failure..but healthy discussion in the light of their own experiences can bringforth some fruitful results....otherwise we all are here to clip the wings of all problems

Great Inerrant , You will be loving Muslim History and feel proud being a Muslim.

Note: Dont take any subject as burden on you. Take interest in it, read it with motivation. Make you own perception and what do you think.

Thumbs up

Good job, brother colossal!
I am also with you in this journey, and like you I will also try to put my untiring efforts and dedication so as to attain the heights of real success. I'm quite trapped in a great deal of responsibilities wherefore I'm unable to allocate much time to the preparation of CSS exam; however, I'm rather interested in going trough this examination at least once in my life and that I want to do with good preparation. I'm pretty passionate about CSS!Actually, I was quite worried about the study plan. Few days back, I thought of a plan, but that seemed to me ineffective afterwards. But frankly speaking, your suggested plan is going to be viable, especially for beginners like me!
I believe that this study plan is quite lucrative for those who are not accustomed to studying a great deal of time. This will help them out, and as soon as they get the habit and stamina of studying for about 5 to 6 hours a day, they will be able to allocate more time to their studies!
I respect this very famous saying: "A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step!" and I respect your schedule, too!
We owe you numberless thanks for this useful thread!
We are with you, INSHA'ALLAH!
All the very best, dear! INSHA'ALLAH, ALLAH PAK will assist us!

Regards!

Yes for writing practice, No for Vocabulary. Do not try to persuade yourself that 'out of the world' vocabulary gets your essay excelled. It can, definitely, help in achieving success but not always, and even sometimes heavy words can be disastrous. Examiners often get irritated of such complicated words where a simple word could easily be used. So take care of such things. Just plain, simple, comprehensible and flawless language can take you to the required 40 marks, so target those first. Further when you reach this level, then we'll discuss about how to go beyond 40.

Stay Blessed.
