Beggars are not Choosers

This maxim refers to a vital philosophy of life to the readers. As a matter of fact, it reminds a crucial reality not only for an individual life but also for the whole nations living around the world. Basically, beggars do not have any other alternative except whatever choice is given to them; they have to obey it without a sigh. This adage can be apprehended by looking into beggar’s life, individual life and at the nation’s level.

Recently, a female beggar died in Saudi Arabia leaving behind secret fortune of gold coins, jewellery and a real estate portfolio worth a whopping $10, 66,580. This is not a single incident but we can hear much similar news in which people leave behind billion without utilizing them in effective purposes. In reality, beggars compromise their self-esteem and self-respect in such a way that they have to be remained contend with what they get in the form of alms. Therefore begging that has become the industry should be discouraged to all levels. And collective efforts are required to stop spreading this evil in society.

Similarly, begging as a habit is a great loss to human life. A person who loses self-respect is not better than an animal. That’s why, Islam strictly prohibits begging. If a person is asking because of his needs, he will be helped on humanity ground. But if someone is asking for sheer monetary gain without any necessity, he will be avoided. Sadly, such mode of life will ruin the person’s life completely. In addition, moral values of that society also decline if such thinking is not rooted out instantaneously.

Moreover, this saying teaches a lifelong lesson to the nations. Evidently a nation cannot depend permanently on foreign aids. History bears witness that many nations who merely counted on foreign aid they had collapsed in the end. Lawfully, there is no morality which should force a donor country to abide by its commitment. Hence, as an independent country, Pakistan should not rely on foreign assistance as well. It is a high time for Pakistani leaders that they should make such long-term policies which enable the whole nation to utilize the opportunities of global village and the people do not have to wait for others to provide such things.

In short, this proverb is not just a couple of words but they have tremendous implications in everyone live. Thus one should avoid begging as far as possible in life. Obviously, once it gets inbuilt in the human or in the nation’s psyche, it is quite difficult to overcome in the long run.

Please read and comment on it.

life is tragedy for those who feel and comedy for those who think

It is an eminent quote of Horace walpole who was a renowned politician and writer. In this he wanted to gave a message of positive attitude towards life.everyone has to face dangers in one's life but approach regarding these hardships creates the difference and makes the life tragedy or comedy.A person who feel scant disorders and take them to his heart will make his life problematic whereas one who take positive image of a picture and take a problem as challenge will never get failure.
A person should take the worries as page not complete book.Life is like a roller coaster. ups and downs are necessary to maintain balance but who will frighten from them, cant enjoy its ride.life is blessing for thinkers because a person is prisoner to his feelings but master of his thinking. There are number of examples who made it true. Quaid i azam is one of best examples who take his life as thinker not as feeler.feelings capture the mind and makes a person unable to live content life .A man free from feelings will take life in objective manner one who feels pain on meagre things for long time ,he get attached to every situation and hardly let go of things that hurt. This condition distract him his progressive goals.
Feelings and thinking are two important pillars of personality but feelings should not get hold on meditation . That does'nt mean to be insensitive rather than be mature and maintain balance between two approaches.A person should stay away from negative feelings that may lead him to disappointment in his

Don't you think that we can link it with Pakistan? I mean we can give any related examples... And guide me in this regard.. Thanks.

I gave reference of Pakistan. I think we can give any reference that is related to our topic. In my opinion anyone can give any related example even from the western word's Bureaucracy that how they have been good. In addition to this, we can compare them with any other country like Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal. In CE13, I attempted essay not economy but politics is a key to success, I gave only Pakistan's example. Hence, Pakistan's name was not there neither it was required but I justified my topic according to the current scenario of Pakistan and I got good marks in essay paper. Similarly, I have applied same approach in this expansion and gave Pakistan's example. Because without any good reference how can we attempt it up to the mark? Nevertheless, you are a qualifier, you know better what to write. Hopefully, you will highly help us out in this regard. Waiting for your kind and informative response. Thanks in advance.

yes you are right.

but I have seen many people trying to relate every topic with Pakistan unnecessarily. and it is not the requirement.

plus, your essay mentioned wine, fond of women etc. you also gave a sweeping statement that all bureaucrats of Pakistan are bad and corrupt.

this all clearly shows that your writing was dominated by emotions and immaturity (no offense!)

in your last sentence you did mention that some bureaucrats are good. but itna bura bol k aakhir may kia faida :-)

having said that, I must admit that both essays (long one and short one) marking is purely subjective. no one knows how they are marked

there are many instances where same essay like of yours get good marks.

meaning, I am not giving a verdict on your essay. its my opiinon

Hahahah......Do you know what! I highly criticized our country in my essay. I mentioned bitter realities and exposed the double standard of Politicians with names, gave many facts and figures from the current happening & I got very good marks in essay paper in CE13. I believe checker appreciated my such approach that's why he/she awarded me good marks. I have done same thing in CE-14. Yar reality dil ko lagti hay! don't you think Bureaucrats are the biggest looters in our country Phr be end me mene balance kar dia k kuch ache b hote hain. Balance kardia na
