On the side of corrupt:

Corruption eradicated = Transparency + Accountability

* transparency comes through maturity of society and moral values
* Accountability demands commitment and independence of law enforcing authorities, and judiciary.

On the side of those who suffer from the activities of corrupt:

Awareness: That comes through literacy + knowledge of rights/duties/responsibilities/liabilities

* literacy demands educational process....which in turn demands provision of basic needs.
* Knowledge of rights and duties requires public flow of information and basic know how of the law.

On the side of Mass Media:

Media: Bring out mature media which can properly address the social, economical, and political problems on their face value. No addition and no subtraction from the facts.

Civic Sense: Community participation and a sense of civicness

Ethics: Ethical and social sense incorporation in the corporate world/business sector/MNCs


Provision of sound salaries/fringe benefits to the employees specially civil servants.

This was the question which was asked in my AD ISI interview three years back. Interestingly question was asked by a Military General and I supplied the same answer which I have posted here with one exception that is the absence of Media factor, because at that time either media was not so active or I was not so aware about Media's role.

i replied that:

Everyone of us realize one's responsibility. If all of us are well aware of our responsibilities than we minimize the corruption.

And one thing i must clear to the General Sb.... that Corruption is not only in the shape of money, it has different shapes such as, if we are a students and we are not sincere with our study than this is also a corruption, and if we have a athority and we exceeded the limits of that athourity than we are also corrupt....... and if we are violating the rights of any one else than we are also committed corruption,,,,,, so for the elimination of corruption each and every one realize his or her responsibilty...

Now question is that how we realize the responsibility?

Through proper guideness via media and each senior give practical example to his or her junior,,,,,, this is the only way to eliminate the corruption,,,,, otherwise all methods are false and just only words having no assence in these words.....

If any general sahib ask me abt. how will I root out corruption from our society, my answer will be Sir, this is not your job to eradicate corruption in Pakistan.You are a general and only trained for armed forces so kindly get back to your previous positions. Eradication of corruption isn't a single man task. It spreads every where in Pakistan in last 60 years. First we should educate masses abt. contemporary world knowledge of Science,Medicine,Health,Space and alot more. Provide them justice, good Health facilities, good food, standard education along with excellent job opportunities. Last but not least please don't pass any NRO in future to provide room for already corrupt political leaders and please let me go to my Home

God bless you in your firm decision. I won't negate your views, but I have my own, totally in different way. When you talk of diplomactic manner you should follow it too. Your answer isn't diplomatic at all. It's purely a true answer and diplomatic answer never fits in the balance of truth.

Diplomacy always works behind truth not before truth. What guarantee do you have when you say that my answer isn't appropriate to pass interview and I have to make happier the interviewer with my answer and change my answer as general want. This is the reality of Pakistan since inception that people always fear to open the mouth before general and say what he doesn’t want to listen mean TRUTH, as u said that my answer based on truth. General should know that Civil Bureaucrats aren’t their sub servant. Bureaucrats are only and only the servant of nation, of poor people. Does any General fear to speak truth before the Bureaucrat?
