1. Discuss the development of the study of " International Relations" and define its core influential factors and define its role in the post cold war era?

International Relations as the academic desciplane developed in 1920 as a department in London School of Economics although it is considered sub-branch of political science and commonly known as international politics but there are various factors which diffrentiate both descipplanes as after the 2nd world war, the desciplane of international relations clasfied more properly. The subject of IR covers both History and politics, usually included in Global studies.
The is shortest possible answer in first part of your 2012 question. i don't have time otherwise i would give you depth study and analysis.

It would be great if you could only name the influential factors.

The most important problem in IR is tragedy of the commons (also known as prisoners dilemma or collective goods problems). To solve this we hve core principles of Dominance, Reciprocity and Identity. Inflential actors are state actors, non-state actors, globalization and levels of analysis.
