Question how to start preparation
I have downloaded the recommended books. From which book i should prepare the mechanics portion

For mechanics, modern physics by moses and electromagnetism lorrain corson are good.

However for vector protion PHYSICS FOR SCIENTISTS and MATHEMATICAL METHODS FOR PHYSICISTS can be studied. (Consider these books if vectors appear troublesome. If not lorrain corson book provides a good perception of vectors)

If you are strong in understanding the vector portion you need to practice the problems and examples included in these books. No need to cover the whole book as it would add none except confusion, i am saying this because i felt so much difficulties in vector portion but these two books helped me alot. Pay attention to others remarks also.
