Dear Fellows , i need help regarding preparation and also need some notes written by qualifier.

Although I could not clear the examination this time but I managed to secure 136 marks after preparation of about 10-15 days. My background is also of Engineering.

If you have anything in particular in your mind, do ask. I might be able to help you a little after all. I am from Karachi too so I hope we both learn from eachother .

All the Best~

@ striver

Please give the list of books from where you prepared Physics.
Also I want to know from which book you prepared the sections of "Electricity and Magnetism" and "electronics" for paper 2.

Did you simply prepare the formulas and their derivations or also learned the theory?

I only consulted Fundamental of Physics by Halliday & Resnick, a well renowned book in Engineering. For theory, I did not try to memorize anything rather I just practiced the derivations and diagrams/figures.

Objectives are fairly simple and if you have gone throught the theory of this book, you will find solving them exceeding easy.

For anything in particular, you are more than welcome to ask me.

oh and I consulted another book for modern physics, I cant really recall the name of the book or the author but I will get back to you on this later.

All the Best~

Salam everyone...Electronics Engineer over here.
Well my preparation of physics was mainly from

1. www.wikipedia.com (,take a topic from syllabus, search on Wikipedia and take notes of every important point).

2. Search key words of practice problems relative to the topic.you will find lot of solved and useful examples every where.I remember I bookmarked more than 15 websites for physics practice problems.

3. Fundamentals of Physics Halliday & Resnick ( i went through the book, but will not recommend it for you.

4. Fsc 1st year and 2nd year book, ensure practice in problem solving.

and for extra details please refer to the link

Post Assalam oa aliakum.

I got through the past papers of physics. Most of the syllabus can be covered from Pre-Engineering books. For an electronic & electrical engineer The Electricity & Magnetism Plus The Electronic portion is quite Easy.
