I think 10 is disturbing you my friend...so just remove it..

The correct question is,

What are transistors? Draw the three types of common transistor circuits. Define the alpha and the beta decay of transistor.

Dear Friend,

10 is misprinted here.

10 means the question carries 10 marks.

Salam Very Special 1,

If 10 common transistor circuits are included ...they be categorized based on their behavior, It is fact that they are inter related, based on the three transistor modes….but depending on their usage….they can be classified accordingly.

1. Transistor in cut off Configuration
2. as current Amplifier….Darlington pair
3. As switching device.....in saturation mode
4. As signal inverter...
5. As non-linear device…..used in Radio Transmitter
6. As High input Impedance device….
7. As Voltage Amplifier…..Common Emitter Amplifier
8. As Gate voltage Controlled Device….JFETS and MOSFETS
9. As low output impedance Device
10. As signal comparator….

@ 10: It requires two transistors to be implemented….but it can be mentioned here since the question does not put any restriction on the number of transistors....

If the solution doesn't answers your query...Please elaborate it further...

@J87ibz
thanks
my point of view is also same
multivibrator and 555 timer can be included in it or not?
if it is 10 marks question then how is divison of marks in this question?thanks
regards

very_Special_1:

Sir 555 timer IC uses lot of transistors to implement....I wouldn't recommend it to draw for 1 mark each diagram...

Similar goes for remaining multi vibrators.

@j87ibz
multivibrator why u dont recomend?
as multivibrator r simple and easy.
what u point of view about op amp and gates, as gates can also made from transistor so that circuit can be included?
plz tell about the divison of marks also?

Yr we have to draw circuit diagram of transistors, not gates and op amps!!!

Infact you know that how many transistors make 1 op-amp, if you want, please go for it...but will only waste your time....

Mark division may be 1 mark for each diagram.
