I found "People's History of United States" by Howard Zinn to be the best precise book on US History. Apart from this one can refer my notes along with Majumdar's Books for the Historical Perspective of the Subject.

As far as the 2nd part ov new syllabus is concern which emphasis more on the current scenario, US Relations, wars and it implications, one must go through all the articles related to USA in JWT MAGAZINE and Daily DAWN.

Sir do USA history by majumdar is pack of two books or just one ?
Teacher in academy told that there is series of two books which you have to read ??

Dear there are many book apart from Majumdar. But yes! its important to go though the both books as it will give you a better understanding ov the subject. But still, I would say you that US History is the shortest and precised subject compared to others.

And interesting as well.
