Good news! PHDEC together with support of related institutions in Pakistan and USA has been able to plan trial consignment in mid-August to initiate export of Pakistani mango to USA for the first time.

In fact, as an important part of regulation process, USDA has published a notice to approve the importation of Pakistani mangoes which is open for public comments for 60 days. All comments received on or before 16th August, 2010 will be considered and addressed by APHIS. After this, final notice will be published to allow mango import and issuance of import permits.
