Please can someone help me with these questions..

1)How to answer a question?
For Example:
Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology are considered to be the sciences of 21st century. What is the current status of their role in agricultural research in Pakistan and what could be their possible contribution in future in this context? Comment.

Now if this is the question.Should I write everything positive or should I intricate the negative effects of biotechnology too.Also how exactly to answer.Please someone guide me.Should it be more technical or general.

2)I am done with my first 2 chapters of the book by akhtar abbass..There were so many facts and figures while answering a question should I highlight them.:S..

3)Also as agriculture is a kind of new to me (apart from me being an environment student) ...please can you suggest that preparing a chapter is wise or focusing on past paper questions.??

I will highly appreciate your help.I am stuck in the middle

genetic engineering and biotechnology are considered the science of 21st century.... this is a positive question... there is no need to add any negative impacts of these sciences.

write all the important developments that have been made in genetic engineering and biotechnology in recent years. for example hybrid plants and animals have significantly helped reduce the food deficiency. through these sciences, treatment of certain congenital and hereditary diseases has become possible etc..

in pakistan too certain hybrid animals have been raised, which are far better than ordinary animals in yielding milk and meat.

obviously you have to write all the technical details about the question.

first read all the relevant chapters of the book and then put past papers before you and prepare the paper in exam point of view.

Thank you so much sir.Actually I am an environmentalist by nature.I have written papers on adverse effects of technology on agriculture,that is why I was referring to the negative impacts.

Sir I am finding the book agriculture by Muhammad Akhtar Abbas extremely difficult.Though the past paper questions are not that difficult which has resulted to all this confusion.
