Salam.... I have no background of forestry, agriculture or botany. what will you suggest me? Should i opt this subject? If yes, how much time is needed to cover its syllabus and whats the scoring trend of this subject? Do i have to cover whole syllabus of Qureshi's Vol 1 & 2 or just selective material?

if you have not studied botany/wild life then never opt forestry...

but no doubt its very scoring subject and this year paper was very easy and am hopeful that it will fetch good scores to students...

I think M.A.Qureshi is more easy to understand the concepts... M.I.Sheikh has more details... but the topic related to problematic soils like salinity etc are discussed in M.A.Qureshi.. one should go through book books while preparing thats what I did... to get overall idea about topics

Forestry is very easy subject. Just read both volumes of Qureshi books and thats enough. If not opting 200 marks from that group then you should definitely go for forestry.

You need to study:

Forest Types
Silvicultural Operations
Silvicultural Systems/Tending operation
Range land Resources/Grazing Systems/Carrying Capacity Determination
Wildlife Management Principles/Protected Areas/Values/trophy hunting
Watershed Management/Erosion/Its role in flood control
Agro/Social/Participatory Forestry and its Socio-Economic Aspects
Global Warming/Climate Change in response to forestry
Issues in forestry in the sub-continent. e.g. Desertification/salinity/water-
logging/water crisis/Eucalyptus

Dear, I sincerely hope that if you manage to master these topics, you will for sure get good score in forestry subject. You need not to go deep, but be statistical in your approach.Good luck!
Dear Arif Awan I have done my graduation in social science that is Economics, can i get good score? please suggest additional direction for me if you feel so... thank you..
