Default Gender studies

Hi Meme,

Do you have a recommendation on the sources to be consulted for Queer Theory and Feminism (Theories)?
Also, is Mary Holmes book enough in itself?
Lastly, how much time did you dedicate to revision (as in of all the subjects)?

Thanks for your response.
First i haven't any experience of social sciences.I am giving G.S almost 4 hours(enough or not) daily(started it a week ago almost done 4 main headed question). I am preparing my notes from couple of sources like 50 key concept of G.S ,JWT,Advance publisher of G.S and internet and it is consuming time and i have to cover still 4 paper(Geography.I.L,US history and General Science) which is untouched.
So,in this manner should i skip some question like social construction of gender(just read it for a little concept but not to make an extensive effort for this).
And, Should we stick to the Gender study while answering our question or can put some Islamic terms . how many quotation or reference you have used in one question.
JazakAllah.

Hello muneeba
I have not come across this book.so sorry about this query
Time is enough for all four questions. I did nt run out of time in any paper. Except a little in eds. In fact in gender studies ,it being the last paper i actually took a rest of 10 minutes after seeing subjective question paper :P
No use of specific medical terms is required. Prepare major statistics, causes, effects n recommendations
Data for example for health, paks ranking in wef, maternal mortality rate anamia rate n like one or two are enough
Answer length mine was 6 to 8
I think i spent 15 days
If you think you are short of time, then its hobsons choice for you to skip but i dont think you should skip social construction one
My suggestion will be stick to gender studies

Questions like modernization theory or in fact every theory,in your opinion, how much data could be enough because in every book there isn't much info about these r if we consult two r 3 books than in every book there is a different in there views so kind a complex task when preparing for notes.
And finally when you were started revision in Jan (start,Mid,end) JazkAllah

Firstly i dnt think you will be asked for these theories directly. Prepare gender critique of these theories which are wid wad.
Secondly in the paper the theories were approximately 8 marks each.so keep that in mind.
Thirdly, prepare each theory under certain headings like era, exponents, main thesis, explanation, repurcussions, criticism, comparison with other theory, origin from which school of thought. So it will be easier to prepare and remember
And i started revision from start of jan.

I made notes and bullet points whichever seemed appropriate... Just reading will leave you with nothing to revise.
