Default Need urgent info about Urdu Iqtibaas

Dear all (who have opted urdu and have passed)

I have two questions regarding Iqtibaas in urdu paper.

Q.1: Is the reading of Raja Gidh, Chand Hum Asr, Zindagi, Khakim Badhin and Kapaas ka Phool sufficient for attemting iqtibaas question. In books me se iqtibaas aatay bhi hain ya nahi?? (Udaas Naslain nd Seerat un Nabi are lengthy, can't read them now)

Q.2: 20 marks k iqtibaas me siyaq o sabaq k marks kitnay hongay nd tashreeh k kitnay?? (same question for ashaar: shair k naam nd sharah k marks kitnay hotay hain??)

Eagerly waiting for your reply

Though I didn't appear in exams yet I think the books you mentioned are enough for iqtibaas.I also didn't read Seerat un Nabi but to some extent I read Udaas Naslen

I have never read these novels completely although i opted URDU. According to one of my friend who is amongst 38th commners, poet ya writer ko refer karnay ka 2-3 marks hotay hain. dis was why i never studied novels completely.

Agar Sub k samnay sharminda karnay ka programme bana he liya ha to phir kya kahain..... I scored 25 in paper I bcz MCQs appared allien to me and i left one question unanswered. however i scored 65 in paper II and that is not bad. This may lead you to the conclusion that "since i did't studied novels hence i scored low" but let me tell you that i did't mentioned the name of poets in the verses, if mentioned then that was a pure guess made on the grounds that how the verse appeared to me..

This year i have been studying the mcqs saperately from emporium so i hope that will recover in paper I as well.

By the way i have one cross question: are you planning to read these novels online or going to purchase these?

oh no not at all!! me aap ko sharmindah kyun karun gi?? i just wanted to know k novels parhay bagair agar achhay marks liye ja saktay hain to me unhen parhnay ka kasht kyun uthaaun?? nd 65 marks are quite good, i think mjhay ek baar to parhnay hi chahiyen taa k orr achhay marks aa saken.

secondly, jahan tak novels kharidnay ki baat hai, khakim badhin mere paas ghar me hai, wo read karni hai ek martaba, raja gidh me ne kaai saal pehle parhi thi, isay bhi ek nazar dekhna tha,(lekin ksi family friend ne parhnay k liye li thi nd return nahi ki, lets c ab uska kya hota hai), chand hum asar nd zindagi me ne apnay ek colleague se udhaar li hain, nd kaapas ka phool mjhay ek friend library se issue krwa k de gi.

jahan tak udaas naslain ka ta'aulq hai, agar me ne aankhen khol k urdu ka syllabus dekh liya hota, , to me ne kuch din pehle hi Abdullah Hussain ka Nadaar Log parha hai, which is quite thick...us k bajae me Udaas naslain parh leti...

so koshish to yehi hai k at least ek bar read kar lun. let's see.

achha ye bataaen k ashaar ki tayari kese karni hai?? i mean, jitnay shur'aa hain, un k ashaar un k kalam me kahin se bhi aajatay hain ya kuch khaas ghazlain n nzmain hain. aap ashaar kese kar rahay hain??

Ithink kaheen say bhe a saktay hain....Maray ishar ki tayyari ka method ya hay k main ishar ko un k mazameen ka context main yad rakhta hun and i think that is the safest method to make a guess... Agar koi shair khudi ko discuss kar raha hay to wo most probably iqbal ka hoga... agar azad nazam hay to ghalib ya meer ki nhn ho sakti...is tarah ashar ko divide karta hun and then i make a guess.

I was planning to go through the famous works of iqbal, mir and ghalib to become familiar with the "zameen" they used..this is the easiet way to recognize the poets.

itna parhako to main nhn hun k sari poetry parhonn by the way i am thinking of reading novels too. infact after your question i have started studying raja gidh from internet. so go ahead with your decision of studying them atleast once.
