@ stunner

you asked the question that bar at law karu ya llm.

The first thing is that the real thing you need to practice in pakistan is only LLb degree. And Maashallah you are doing llb hons.

From where you are doing llb hons, is it a sort of distance learning programme of university of london or you are actually abroad for ur studies,

and as for as i know BVC ( bar vocational courses) is only allowed for those who pass LLM then i think C.P.E ( common professional examination) .

If you can afford easily then go for Bar At Law. Otherwise its too expensive like i will say it will cost about 60 to 70 lacs.

I was also a student of llb hons through distance learning programme of university of london which was managed by institute of legal studies peshawar. But later on that institute was closed and they returned our fee after 5 months.

for practicing in pakistan u are not suggested to do llm because in field llb is enough if u r really willing to opt law as a profession just chose ur area of practice i.e, crimnal, civil, corporate or cyber. and join a good chamber or law firm u will require at least 2 to 5 years to establish(even after LLM or bar u require the same time)

@ imran bakht
Yea bro, i m doing the same distance learning LLB Hons .. Now its called UOL International Program ..
And Bar At Law doesn't cost 60 to 70 lac .. It costs around 15 to 25 .. But as I was told that one can practice directly in High Court after doing Bar At Law, I think that 15 to 25 lac will be a good investment .. Wat do u say about this .. ?
I understand that only LLB is needed in order to start practicing in Pakistan, but there are other advantages of doing higher studies .. Like the one I quoted above ..

@ sana_krn
Thanx for ur concern .. But I have heard that if you have your Bar At Law then more reputed firms are interested in hiring you .. And i have decided that I will practice in Corporate Law InshaAllah, so won't an LLM degree in Corporate Law from a reputed foreign university be rewarding .. ? I mean kuch to faayeda hota ho ga higher studies ka ..

Regards ..

@ sana_krn
Very true .. But he must have been much more intellectual than other lawyers in his field .. Anyways, you are right in a sense .. The start is normally the same for all, they all start from scratch.
But in the long run, the more knowledge you have, the more you succeed .. I personally think that a masters in the subject of your intended practice field helps you, may be not when you start but surely when you are in courts at your own ..

Regards ..

If you are interested in practicing law, then Bar at Law will be the best option.

My friend did Bar at Law after completing LLB, He was my senior. When came, started Practice at Peshawar High court and today He is the deputy Attorney General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Won reputation is short time. In fact Bar at Law is more concerned with Practice.
