you are right but topics are not that much difficult which can not be solved. In CE 2013, 16 of my mcqs's were correct and I attempted all the questions with reasoning, still I got 21 marks. May the trend change for 2014 or we ll definitely be ruined

I do not know about my marks as yet, as I will get my DMC after few months. All I would want to say is that Muslim Law can be tricky, as it was this time. The questions required answers by a mind having deep knowledge of Muslim Law.

But this does not mean that you cannot pass it. all of you guys definitely can clear the exam; you just have to remain posiitive and stay focused. Patterns of almost all the papers changed in 2013 and this is why, you guys have to be careful while attempting the paper.

Focusing on the question will enable you to understand what has been asked. If a question demands history of an issue, provide the history; if only solutions are required, do not get involved in unnecessary details of history. You cannot blame the examiner for being ruthless if you provide all the unwanted information in the answer to a simple question.

Stay focused and do not think about IFs! Be determined that you WILL get through it, inshaAllah.

All the best.

A friend of mine passed Muslim law and got 59 marks by just reading one book of Athir Rizvi by Jahangir Publisher.I am also afraid after CE-2013 result but its not time to loose heart rather its time to face Muslim law bravely.A teacher of mine advised me just to prepare 1 question of Muslim law daily from the aforementioned book and if you feel problem in it then consult Urdu book of ilmi publishers for Muslim personal law of LLB to clear your concepts..There would be no chances of failure Insha Allah..i have adopted the same strategy and it really works.

Read the questions carefully; focus on the areas that have been asked about. Keep your focus on those areas while attempting the question.

Headings, sub-headings, words underlined or in bold/ italics, numbered points etc are necessary for every subject except for Essay.

I am too Law Graduate and also have enough interest in Muslim Law but it screwed up the aspirants in 2013. Although I passed but not with flying colours as I scored only 33 marks in it....

While attempting the paper do consider the suggestions by Seemab, as I too applied the same strategy although not get desired score but managed to pass the paper somehow.

1. Read the questions carefully;
2. Focus on the areas that have been asked about and don't go astray.
3. Headings, sub-headings, words underlined or in bold/ italics, numbered points etc are necessary for every subject except for Essay.

One more suggestion from my side download the book link given below

Outlines of Islamic Jurisprudence by Imran Ahsan Nyazee
(Note: the above said book is password protected so after opening the book enter the password as "nyazee")

and better to follow it for Jurisprudence portion. I suggested it because I have already studied it in LLB but after considering past papers of CSS (till 2011) followed Abdur Rahim and D.F Mulla but get bashed...
However, the book said book will help you to run with the mind of paper setter of 2012 and 2013 as well as will fetch you good marks even if the paper asked according to the previous pattern.

Though, a must have book to fetch good marks and deal with the changing pattern of this paper.

One thing I forgot to mention is that you guys may also purchase this book from any good bookstore.
Purchase it to help the publishers as well as writer to keep on the good work.

Purchase it as they deserve it.

During LLB, we had no concept of consulting Mullah or AbdurRaheem. I read Mullah for the first time while preparing for CE-2013 (and honestly, it confused me big time).

Imran Niazi sb is one of the living legends in the field of Islamic Jurisprudence. Though we studied Islamic Jurisprudence in Arabic as "Usul-ul-Fiqh" divided in 4 courses, we surely did consult Niazi sb's books for easy understanding.
