Just study Berkeley's idealism for subjective idealism and Hegel's idealism for absolute idealism which can be found in Popkin's book or on intenet.

Here's a link explaining Berkeley's subjective idealism in a simple language: http://www.skepticink.com/believingb...lained-simply/

After reading the link, it would be easier to understand the chapter on Berkeley in Russell's book.

For Hegel, Kant, and Plato (in fact, for entire Western Philosophy), I'd highly recommend a book called "Do I Know?" by Nadeem Qasir, if you don't have much prior knowledge of Western philosophy. It has been designed for school level philosophy students and gives a very simple and precise introduction to western philosophy. After reading that book, you can easily understand the material from Russell's book. I've uploaded a few pages from the book:

Hegel: https://drive.google.com/folderview?...k0&usp=sharing

Kant: https://drive.google.com/folderview?...zA&usp=sharing

Plato: https://drive.google.com/folderview?...2M&usp=sharing

Just read the first page of chapter on Hegel and came here to comment that Pleasures of reading philosophy is like no other pleasure.

Dear Gypsified,
It's indeed nice and easy to grasp wording used by Nadeem Qaiser. Will you please upload other excerpts from the same book covering other topics on western Philosophy? Moreover does the said book include muslim philosophy too?

Yeah the book is only about Western Philosophy and that too selected topics. There is no chapter on Berkeley, logical positivism etc. But I'm uploading some other philosophers who are relevant:

Marx (dialectical materialism): https://drive.google.com/folderview?...zg&usp=sharing

Descartes and Locke are not much important form CSS point of view but it would be better to go through them in order to have better understanding of Berkeley, Kant, and Hegel:

Descartes: https://drive.google.com/folderview?...UE&usp=sharing

Locke: https://drive.google.com/folderview?...nc&usp=sharing

And that is about it. You can do existentialism from elsewhere and Western philosophy is pretty much complete.
