Default approach

each subject has different approach
would you please mention your subjects
first you should go through past papers and extract topics and start preparation

Study of any book for CSS prep is designed in three ways:

1...study in accordance with the syullabus;

2...Study the likely areas( those areas which usually come the question papers....pay especial heed to them);

3...Study such important thing which though are not the part of syllabus but can pay dividends in larger perspective....( or read for ur general information..if you have time)..

At times, a book is deficeint of some of the required material.....in a such case study the required stuff from either different books or net.....

If you have no enough time then study topic by topic...ignoring such topics that are not likely............
.

best of Luck..

Notes are made in more that one way.....

U can underline the key areas.....ideas...etc. in the book

u can also take them out and organize according to ur ease on a note book......

I used many and invented a new one for myself.....hahaha....

best of luck....
