Well! I have opted Persian for CE-2013. I opted it only for two reasons;one this is a scoring subject and secondly through this one can learn Persian to read its rich mystical poetry. I succeeded in both aspects and enjoying it. However, in short span of time there are few suggestions from side that would be helpful for everyone.
i) Everyone should practise its translation and essay portion on daily basis and should avoid cramming. It is an evident phenomenon that cramming is a risky and time taking thing.
ii) Try to read Persian as much as one can, it will enhance your comprehension and help you in translation and explanation of poetry question.

persian can be prepared in much less time than that is needed for geography. I have opted both.
