Define learning. Discuss the principle of reinforcement as related to both classical and operant conditioning. (2011)

well.reinforcement is any thing that increases the chances for a particular act ,to occur in future.in classical conditioning meat powder can be regarded as reinforcement ,plus you make it different from that of operant conditioning in the sense that in classical conditioning the subject does not strive to get reinforcement,as the meat powder is put in the mouth of by Pavlov, and in the other case the animal/bird in the cage has to make effort to get reinforcement [food].and principles are given in almost every book ,these are extinction, stimulus discrimination, generalization, spontaneous recovery, higher order conditioning.

dear if such a question comes ,one needs to write the theories along with the criticism made by some authentic psychologists.thats all about the theory thing.
