Query about theory of personality

Aoa.

I am confused about the theories of personality. We need to have an overview of all 5-6of them or detailed aspects of every psychologist in each theory? Can one have simply an overview with detailed theories of freudian, neo freudian , allport, murray and cattel ?

yes one simply can have an overview with detailed theories of freudian, neo freudian , allport, murray and cattel there is no harm in it . And by know you must have noticed that by over viewing data in psychology one can easily write and manipulate data to give answers by examples etc

How much time should psychology take on average for good preparation. I feel notes making process is quite time consuming . I have been able to make notes of 2.5 chapters in almost 3-4 weeks. Quite slow ..is it?

yes dear it is slow but i have a point in favor that notes you made are photo copied in your mind and requires minimum time for revision on the contrary when you you revise course from the book that requires more time , so the time is compensated . It means making notes is a better way
But if you want to study it from book don't make further notes just make points on pages of any topic that you think are important this is less time consuming and in the end you will revise from these points and if you find something troublesome from points then you can refer book
