Punjabi is a good scoring subject and you can easily get 60+ with average preparation. Some have even scored 90+ in this subject. Punjabi writing is not a big issue and is just a matter of 2 or 3 days practice because most of the words are similiar to urdu.

As far as remembering poetic verses is concerned, it needs a bit time and tactic. You need to learn only important verses for a particular poet or question. For example you may learn only 7 to 8 verses far most important poets each. If you practice these verses in your heart on daily basis, You will be able to remember these for cosiderable period of time.

There is an arabic teacher, Hafiz Arshad, who coducts arabic preparation classes. He has also written very good notes for arabic. Most candidates opting arabic use these notes only. You may contact him for guidance. His number is: 0333-4103614.

The book for arabic which you may consult is 'Tareekh-e-adab e Arabi' by Ahmed Hassan Ziat.

Hope it helps...
