As far as i think, the examiner thinks that candidate hasnt studied pushtu and doesnt knw abt the poets except khushal and rehman baba...sec u cannot compare a 20 marks poetry question with 7-8 lines translation question...in poetry question or question related to pushto literature(tappa etc), the effort is more..n obviously the more effort u put,the more u get the reward.like u write 5-6 "ashars" in questions other than translation(more effort more reward)..n i think this is the main reason why the scoring trend has been low for the last two years...i dnt know how much marks i would get but this is what i feel n this is my personal opinion.it mite be wrong...hope this clears your confusion..

kindly tell about ur paper aswell.qhich questions n how many ashar...this would lead to better conclusion n sorting out y the score has been low this year

Sir I have no confusion and I have made up my mind to replace this paper. I admit there is less effort in translation but all questions carry equal marks. If the effort thingy is right then they should reduce marks for translation and increase the number of questions.
The statement should be removed at the start of part 2 that All questions carry equal marks and going by effort theory then there should be minimal marks for the objective part.
I rest my case.

its upto u but u shld think once again.u should know that by putting less effort in pushto u can gain more .secondly, the syllabus of pushto is much much less as compared to other subjects.similar to scoring subject theory,scoring question theory also exists.....rest is upto you.bcz it depends on you wat is your interest n where u can deliver the best....Best of Luck brother.....

Would anybody like to give some good suggestion to score high in pashto as i am going to opt this subject in 2013. what are pros and cons of this subject and what should be the strategy...any one?

try to keep one thing in mind that u have to go for three questions from poetry n literature and only one from translation...if possible try to attempt all four questions from poetry n literature...prepare khushal baba n rehman baba from every angle..it would be better if u see 10 years past paper..they'l will give u the idea of various angles related to poetry..prepare three or four famous poets other than rehman baba n khushal baba....prepare tappa,drama,charbeta and evolution of pushto literature...try to make your own notes by adding more n more ashars.....for mcqs, i cant suggest u nything except cramming the past 6 year papers mcqs...practice pushto writing aswell to improve your speed...this was the strategy,i used..dnt knw how much marks wld i get but i am very hopeful to get a very good score in pushto inshaALLAH despite its low scoring trend ....

mcqs were little strange,but other qs were nice,specialy Khushal khan and TAPA DA OLASEE AADAB HINDARA........hmmmm nice.

brother how you can say that by avoiding translation and attempting poetry and literature will fetch maks for you. i attempted first translation that is from english to pushto then the question aboun PUSHTO AFSANA then Q about rehman baba with more than 20 ashars and then Q of TAPPA with more than 40 examples. i read pushto in my primary level from grade one to five....and having a personal interest in pushto poetry and literature from very start..i was expecting more than 70 marks because i did it best but the shows worst marks among my optionals...plz what inspite of this i love this subject how i can chang it??
