Smile What are sociol persepctive or paradigm?

What is difference between sociological perspective and sociological paradigm? Are they same things?

I am confused a bit. In Taga's book, the sociologists are written under the head of;

Evolutionary sociologist, Order sociologist and Conflict sociologist

In VU notes I studied the paradigms as;

Functional, Conflict and interactionist

again in the same notes, I studied approaches towards siociety as;

Evolutionary, Cyclic, Conflict and Functional

Could anybody explain what is this mess?

basically sociology has some schools of thought like Evolutionary,functional, conflict, oredr and interactionists ....
some sociologist belong to one school of thought and some to other , like August Comte beloned to evolutionary school of thought and give explaination of society and its devolpment on evolutionary grounds...
So for example emile Durkheim belongs to functionalist school of thought and is thus a functaionalist sociologist and explains socity in terms of functional paradigm such as his main notions are that society works as a organization and it has many components like family, and individual is its unit.

and YES paradigms and perspectives are same thing.... I hope it helps to clear the confusion.
