Hi Bro,

I like your outline. It is 'to the point' and excludes the unrelated information. It is quite commendable that you did not deviate from the topic as most of the aspirants do and the fact that you have relevant arguments point out that you should pass the paper.
Options available on winning war of terror were irrelevant. Role of respective governments (Pak, Afghan), viz a viz their policies to curb the continued violation against human rights in their territories must have been mentioned. Role of Organizations such as UN condemning and safe guarding the rights of those affected should have been touched. Moreover, writer did not explain the lifting of moratorium of death, military courts, disappearances in Balochistan, in short the state abuses and only lamented about the foreign breach of sovereignty of countries. Outline is missing a lot many things.

Attempted 7th essay, but I misunderstood the word successors so entire essay meaning changed.

Attempted the first topic there was a huge scope in writing about the sheer violation of Human rights by the one who are the sole supporters of it especially (US).
The first topic:

Introduction
Human rights first victoms of war
Same with war on terror
both states and non-state actos involved

States abuse human rights
By enacting black laws like military courts
By giving law enforcement more powers than democratic leadership
By forced disappearances and rendition
By declaring anyone who disagrees as traitor and abettors of terrorism
By violating the privacy of individuals
By big state flouting international law and killing hundreds in wake of it. Iraq.

Non-state actos and extremists often occupying large swathes of land abuse human rights
By trapping people, the state retaliates against terrorists and poor are caught in between, no security to human which is basic human right
By imlementing harsh punishments with summary executions, against human right
By not having schools and medical facilities, again denail of human rights

Suggestions
Improve Internation court of justice
Solve Issues like Palestine
State must impose its writ wholly
Politicians must ensure proper checks on interlligence agencies

Conclusion
Must guard jealously the gains made in human rights in last 50 years
There only lies human salvation
To protect the values of freedom, fraternity and libery.
Most sensible till now. But I didn't see anything in the outline elaborating the foreign aggression and their violation of human rights in the form of drone attacks, breach of sovereignty of nations, Guantanamo,,Abu Ghuraib etc. If you have mentioned them in the paper, you would easily pass the examination. I think the Examiner was actually hoping for a sound analysis on the current topics like military courts, lifting of moratorium etc..

6. Conclusion
I missed your outline somehow..Its quite impressive! Wish you best of luck!:)

I deliberately did not go there because of the explosive issue, and of course the fact I endorse drone attacks. Trying to shift gears and lying within 3 hours would have been very difficult. As for Guantanamo Bay, I didn't want to take any chances with spellings. But I did talk about rendition in the case of CIA, and forced disappearances like Adiyalla 11.

Do the examiners like quotations? I have put two in the essay and expansion of ideas.. Attempted War on Terror and mentioned all the human rights abuses that arose from it. However, time was limited so I could only manage about 1600-1700 words apart from the outline.

Sulehrix Saturday, February 14, 2015 08:35 PM

I wanted to go for number 1 but realized my essay will be lost among the crowd so I went for number 4.

Let's see whether the paper checker agrees with my choice or not.
Did last topic wrote about 3000 words almost.

Drones unfortunately happen to be at the heart of the matter. I am just of the opinion that in essay especially like this, where majority of people are going for the same topic, one has to cover all aspects. Leaving behind a matter such as drones whom everybody likes to thrash might account for a disadvantage. But I sincerely hope you make it through.
I have been following your posts for quite a while wasim bhai..:D

WasimBhai Saturday, February 14, 2015 08:48 PM

Haha, Malik Sahab, and this is a vain attempt to defend myself, but, if we will agree that everyone would have talked about drones. At least, it is different in that it doesn't discuss it. :D But yeah man, I missed death penalty, but I didn't want to go all philosophical. Muqabla buhat sakht tha, and I write too slow. I hope the examiner likes it. InshAllah.
