It is nothing but a recklessly designed statue to create more disturbance and tension in the life of a couple. Recently, due to a clash between a couple, wife called police and her husband was took to lock-up by police. On getting bail, he divorced his wife. This divorce occurred because of this law promulgated by some ignorant people in power.

Now who will compensate for this break-up. The government should stress on education to know the rights of women.

I think our rulers are in worst case of ignorance therefore they cant understand the true needs of their people. Their life circulates just around themselves.

I could not have disagreed more.

This Bill is absolutely pertinent to protect women against any kind of violence. We live in a society where men feel they own women and can do whatever they want with impunity. Yesterday, a man murdered his newly wedded wife on the wedding night because he thought she was not pure. These kind of Bills are the need of the hour. The government needs to do the needful and not succumb to the pressure of the far-right. This bill does not challenge our family system, it challenges the heinous acts of violence which are committed by men in the name of this 'family system'.
