will any body tell me who has authorized the united states of america to sanction different countries . As she often threatens sovereign states to hit severe sanctions . North Korea and Iran are facing embargoes



Even the US can sanction the developed and powerful states such as like Russia and china .


But how it works ?

There are several reason that make America so powerful to impose sanction on different countries. Each and every member of United nation is soverign, can enter into relationship with other countries,have territory and population to rule but global system established after second world war and cold war cause to create a system that allow only America powerful.

But how it works ?
America is one of the largest trader in the world. Many of Russian companies and individuals have businesses and investments in USA. Most of the times US sanctions are imposed by the US and being a sovereign nation it has the right to do that. The sanctions imposed on Russia are not UN-specific.
