Default Tears

May Allah protect each and everyone in the whole wide world .. AMEEN
got this as an e-mail today .. thought i'd share it wid everyone:

Tears

that cry into oceans of blood.........

The lecture theatre was brimming and fully packed - to hear a man who has so courageously and undauntingly presented the truth of the Middle East and its conflicts. Robert Fisk has spent over a quarter of a century reporting in the Middle East. He works as a journalist of the UK’s The Independent Newspaper and has just published a great book called “The Great War for Civilisation – The Conquest of the Middle East”. He wanted to understand why there was so much hatred towards the west from the “Islamic world”.

I give some key excepts herein of his talk on Thursday 13th October 2005, entitled “Covering Conflict” hosted by Education Action International), a charity that works in areas of conflict like Palestine, Sudan, Uganda, Sierra Leone and Angola to provide those who cannot, with education and the empowerment to educate themselves.

From Beirut – Bosnia – Baghdad….

Oceans of Blood (the Iran – Iraq War)
“I sat on a train going to Tehran and the train was full of young Iranian soldiers coughing up blood and mucus from the gassings. I leaned out to open the window as I was coughing – I was breathing in the gases from their lungs….that was the time the famous picture of Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam Hussein was taken….”

Baghdad, the reality…..
“The Americans must leave, will leave but cannot leave….that will turn the sands into blood”…..
Apart from Kurdistan the whole of Iraq is in a state of anarchy…Highway 8 south of Baghdad is notorious for its throat cutting. It is extremely dangerous for anyone to go to Iraq now. “Believe me its gone, the project is over…” Robert comments. Robert then drew striking analogies from when Iraq was under British Imperial rule to now under US illegal occupation. Striking how even a soldier had died in a place in 1920 to how a soldier had died in the same place in 2005 which lead to the sieges of Fallujah and Najaf. History repeating itself in a twisted way.

“There has NEVER been or will there ever be a civil war in Iraq – it is NOT sectarian…it is a tribal society…”. A sunni man in Iraq asks Robert “Why do you people in the West keep saying we will have a civil war? My wife is shi’a do you want us to have a civil war and I kill my wife?”

Be very wary of reports from the Western media in Iraq. Associated Press (AP) are barricaded behind two armoured walls and never go out into the city, like Robert and few other journalists do. The New York Times has the same defences and 2 watch towers with armed Iraqi guards wearing T-shirts saying “The New York Times”. Robert says why are they not telling their viewers this and not reporting from the street…propagating lies….

Bosnia, the ghost town…
2 clips video clips were shown…the first of a Bosnian muslim town under “Serb protection” – the masjid burned out, destroyed…the imam of that masjid that Robert had coffee with a year ago…his house utterly destroyed. They were gone…disappeared. The Serb police escorting him refused he take pictures or ask anymore questions. Robert had said many journalists use the word “ethnic cleansing” so easily without ever really understanding its meaning. This was utterly heart breaking especially the “ghost town” of what was once a populus Muslim city….on Europe’s doorstep. Who can forget the 8,000 muslim men and boys massacred in Srebenica in one day, under the noses of the UN Dutch Peace Keeping “Force”.

Palestine, the hell of illegal occupation, oppression and settlement
The next film clip would make even the hardest heart break. All around one Palestinian family Israeli bulldozers making way for illegal homes for immigrant Jews (Zionists)…one man’s brave battle (Mohammad Khattab) to keep his home, his land because “it was my father’s land, his father’s before him and his father’s before him – what can I do.? It’s a living land” The utter injustice was incredulous of the Israelis who had turned these settlements into cities. The Palestinian man and his family had put up a courageous fight and lost their land – “Might” Vs Right….

I want to leave you with one of Robert’s answers to a question posed by an audience member, about how Israel and those who illegally occupy and oppress others should negotiate:

Robert: “You cannot negotiate from a position of strength – you will never have peace. One MUST negotiate from a position of JUSTICE….”

No Justice – No Peace.

Assalam Alaikum,

Shame on us as Muslims, our fellow muslims lose their lives and we don't even care. Yet we scramble to provide secuity to GORA SAHAB in our countries.

Whereas, west attack countries only on the threat of their citizens being in danger to something, like Islamic Terrorism. Yet, muslims are not saying a word against west aggression.

Thanks.

Default Keeping emotions aside, Loosers are not choosers

Come On ppl!!!!
@Sameera: whether we like it or not but this is the fact that we no longer enjoy our position as world leaders. Now this position is occupied by those who have worked harder to attain this position as compared to us, Muslim Ummah. Loosers are not choosers and now this is upto the nations who are having their turn of the game that how they treat us.
@Bubban Mian: WSalam dear brother!! BUT there are much more manly works we can do as Muslims rather being ashamed of our lack of power and voice on the international level. First we have to improve ourselves individually as well as collectively. And I believe in it more than myself that this is the promise of Allah Mian that Muslim Ummah has been created to rule and enjoy prosperity. Rather indulging in slipshod and topsy-turvy approaches, we have a guaranteed highway to success and that is QURAN AND HADITH. Our complete enunciation lies there.
