So far as my opinion is concerned, Musharraf deserves to rule over pakistan. It has clear reason that our country should not go through anarchy. Besides, His rule had bestow considerable amelioration to our beloved country. If we compare other rulers fore him, We can barely choose single one. His advent on politics was beneficial for Pakistan economically, socially and politically.

By the end of Nawaz Government, We were flunked in various crisis. There was no way to meet our Balance of Payment. Debts were increasing rapidly. Foriegn investment had turned its face. Corruption was hitting the acme. By every aspect, Government had been dissolved. Government Reserves were empty. Internation Relations were devastated completely. Government was dissolved itself deviod of Mushraf interference.

Benazir Butto government was the open invitition to Corruption. Recruitment in various govt posts were made without any formality. It was rather good for her accounts accretion. Terror was equally spread on streets of Pakistan. It couldn`t be pointout her regardless decisions.

Developments has been introduced in Musharraf goverment are stated below :

1. Economic growth of pakistan is remarkable. Our GDP real growth rate is 6.6% (2006 est.) while it was nothing in above governments. Poverty has been decreased to 24 percent. Investments are made to 15.6% of GDP (2006 est.) . Many other reforms are mentioned here.

2. Illiteracy was the main threat of pakistan. It is the only way to come out of stormy sea. Other govt had pay no role in this regard but Current govt paid painstaking heed on it. Now our literate population is 49.9%.

3. Development all around the country is also a factor of success. Introduction of new port Gwadar was also commendable step. For acquiring this target, Govt had to face too many problems.

4. Privatisation was also good step to curb corruption in the country. Govt sectors were not more than money making machine for corrupt officers.
5. By the annual report of ADB, Pakistan will cross the developing countries line before 2050. World bank and ADB are making big investments in pakistan.

There are so many reforms had been made in pakistan. 20 year economic policy will show the new moon to our country. Inshallah we will be free from all crisis very soon (Ameen)

Demerits of Musharraf Government are stated below :

1. Inflation is the great failure of government. Rate of necessities are arising rapidly. But it is mentioned by illustrious economist that " Inflation is a bonus of development". Where development introduces inflation takes part itself.

2. Terror has been expanded all over the country. A new wave of bomb blast brings hard hours for Musharraf. Pakistan supports USA in Afghan-US war. But i guess Pakistan had no way out ; If pakistan didn`t help USA, Then there would be no pakistan existence.

Conclusion :

If we compare merits and demerits of this government, We will come to know that Musharraf deserves to be President of pakistan. I know, everyone have different opinion apropos this conflict but my vote will go to Musharraf.

Allah Nagheban,

It is very awful to see Mushraf participating in presidential election in uniform. None of a democratic country can ever be imagined to have such situation. But it is not Mushraf who is responsible for all that these are our politicians who for their personal interests allowed him in the form of 17th amendment. Now when SC has validated his participation in elections we don’t need to point finger on this decision. Our politicians have always lost more for little gain. They are mentally sick and undeveloped. They are not still aware of true democratic culture and values. First they allowed Mushraf and now opposing. Hypocrisy has become national symbol of our politicians. They are themselves responsible for bringing martial laws in the country ensuring generals of their full favor and cooperation irrespective of the impacts of their erroneous decision on the future of the country.

Smile Musharraf's sweeping victory

Today's held presidential election declared unofficially the sweeping victory of Gen: Pervaiz Musharraf as President of Pakistan for further 5 years though SC verdict is still to come.
Since, democracy is new in our country and it takes time to develop politically mature anddemocratically strong nation. Feudalistic thinking is deep-rooted and in our main stream political parties, democratic culture is wanting so transition from sham to true democracy needs an educated society as well as shrewdness on the part of existing politicians. Invitation to Army in politics is adverse to the plant of democracy to grow. Now National Reconciliation Ordinance has been promulgated, amnesty granted to a nation wide popular party, yet lots of things to happen. However, success of Musharraf today is a harbinger of his presence for long time, in this scenario, if PPPP comes to power then it has to deliver and three power of centres in a state like Pakistan i.e. President, PM and Chief of Army Staff if united and take aside personal and vested interests, the positive results in the democratic sphere are expected to reap by our countrymen and Pakistan will take rapid strides in progress and development and kill the forces of hatred and intolerance which is ipso facto the need of the hour. Internal and External dangers need to have taken vital decisions circumspectly so that We will be able to weather the storm.

In my personal view, principally the Election of President in uniform is unconstitutional but if promises are made regarding doffing off the uniform, then unabated growth economically, politically, religiously, socially and of course democratically is the end result providing that sincerity to Pakistan.

Being paksitani young man and politically aware one will do anythign except supporting a ruler but this is the first time the majoirty of country even opposition leader are supporting perviz musharaf becasue of his outstandign leadership, his vision .It does not mean musharaf is 100% right .He wrongly gained benifit from america by givign afghnais blood. He even manuiplated oppsotion .There were scandles al the time . Twenty journalsit lost therir life, Cj was threatended adn misbehabved,12 may carnage took place, awaz sharif went in saviour condition due to blackmailing . On other hand musharaf has done everythign in paksitna favour,He dendie to handover abdul salam to america,he even condemened america for lauchign operation,he played a provocative rule in enhancign raltion with idnai, euorpe, america and more iporatlay divered musluim countires The tenure he had was amaing .Today we have a mature paksitani nation .Depedign within boundires. The ruelr are weaker becasue of electronic media even journalsit have lost their credibiity as a blackmailer becasue of camera . In next ten years paksitan will no doubt be a flexible coutnry adn it will play an important in international politics and all became possible becasue of musaharaf .MAy god give us another dicator like him who can connect all natioanl, political, religiosul parties so that pakstian may go on .

Default My View

I like Gen Musharaf as President of Pakistan because of many many gd works done in his tenure specially at macro level.

The performance of President is in the following areas is marvellous:-

Higher Education (thousand & thousand of scholarships each year funded by Pk Govt through HEC, MOE & many more new Univesities)
Economy (Less Un-employment & more Foreign Exchage Reserves. Better GDP growth Rate)
Foreign Policy (Saving our Nuclear Program & advancing it)
Low Corruption
Quota for Women in Govt Jobs
Openin doors of PAF(even GDP), Pak Army, Navy for females

& still he has to continue many good tasks in the next 5 year term!

Congrats to President for being re-elected!

Most of the silent majority is with Gen Musharaf!

Pakistan Zindabad !

No doubt he has done some good work for our country, but still i dont support him because as a military wallah he has no right to be the head of the state.

It is not important that whether General Musharaf ramains the President, but the question is, Are there any politicians who work for the nation??, and what are we doing as a nation?????
There are'nt any politicians who work for better Pakistan, and it is our fault, as a citizen, all politicians work for their own good and we let them do. we are still not united and keep on favoring those who are not performing well, but just because of same community, language and other things. None of the politician had ever tried to pass a law which stops army intervention, they all had been busy in minting money. Now those politicians are crying for getting back into power again and critising army. I m not in favor of army rule nor should anyone be, but the problem lies with our politicians, who for their earnest deisre of power can fool anybody and can do anything. And we public are being fooled by our politicians, always!!!!!

Default National reconciliation or a fraud with nation...

presidential election are are illegitimate and disputed. Those who like musharraf and his policise and call him an honest person. They should answer me this question.....if he is an honest person and is sincere with nation.why he has passed an ''ordinance'' in the name of ''national reconciliation''.....??This is a bigger fraud with the nation...According to this ordinance he is going to withdraw all the cases of corruption against benazir bhutto and his party.some other corrupt people are also included in it.And there are cases of corruption of millions of dollars against them.for giving credibility to his presidential election he has passed this ordinance and in its reply pppp gave legitimacy to his elections....
More than that according to this ordinance, in future, ways will become more easy for politicians for future corruption .Because,it will be very difficult to charge against them.
so only for gaining legitimacy of pppp for his presidential elections ,he withdrew cases of millions of corruption and paved the way for easy corrution of politicians in future.......what a honest and sincere with nation musharraf is.....??
he wanted to win election at any cost. he did not care a bit of the wealth of the nation......surely,he should have no concern with the poor nation.
