well i'm not fully sure about the semi-official corporations like ptcl, pak steel etc.....
but one thing is clear you should have no direct link with any of the three state pillars
i.e judiciary , executive(both army as well as civil bureaucracy), and legislature (u will have to give up ur mna/mpa status b4 contesting next election),
its all my limited knowledge, for more intricate discussion it could be redirected to more learned members like adil, tabassum , babban sahib etc

Assalam Alaikum,

Brother NHpaki, from what I can share with u from my limited knowledge is this, that the civil institutions that are not consumer based institutions include in that.

But since the establishment has a direct control over the consumer based institutions, I see it as very unethical on the individual's part to run for anything and hold any such public office.

Besides, a politician or the elected official should restrain themselves from keeping any other key posts, as that creates the conflict of interest, for example: you cannot hire a lawyer in the murder trial to defend you, if he is the father of the one, who is been murdered!

In my opinion, Politics in democracy requires indviduals to be very ethical, and such things mentioned above are highly unethical.

Thanks.
