As for as power is concerned it is but not a sole factors. Someone truly said that CSS is an obstable when you cross it you will bocome something from nothing. and nothing means mere graduate and masters are not applaudable in our society. CSS is the only way for middle and lower middle class to get the higher status and the higher service of Pakistan. In some cases they even have more power than politicians. What you think that when Foreign Minister conclude any treaty or conduct any meeting or agreement it is his sole work? No dear there is the hard work of team behind him those are especially the Foreign Secretary and the ambassadors. In our country a person from middle class can't think to contest the election. So it is the only way to get entry into the elite class of the country.

Every group has its own powers and limitations. But you cannot degrade any one. All of them go through the same common training programe and have the label of CSP. You are talking about the future of other groups even the future of Dmg and psp is still not sure. 18th amendment is on the anvil it can be amended and may repeal the police order 2002. DMG is every green service it will rule. Other service have their own unique characters which cannot be denied. They are better than numbers of other services.

People feel that CSS is a king of Empire those who got it they will be the most power ful. Dear these are only legendry stories. CSP neither change the system not status quo. They simply become part of the system and carry on day to day activities. There is nothing special as the people consider. But there is one thing important to mention. Only this year there will be 400+ CSPs other wise usually commission select arround 200. and in the population of 160 million population it is an honor for those 200 to go through and they have the label of sagacity bcz in the history of fpsc there is no blame on the merit of fpsc. Even top stake holders could not influence the commission to get their demands fulfilled.

Dear just study, carry on ur struggle. Don't confuse urself with these petty questions. Css is the higher service of pakistan and it has no match in country irrespective of any group all are good and all of them have their own charms and glories. If any group is bad they would have excleded it from the category. In our soceity people respect only those who can arrest and release a person otherwise no respect.

Default CSS - Top government service in Pakistan

Becoming a CSP in Pakistan does not mean that one is having the utmost power to bring any kind of change. Inspite of the fact that a CSP officer has lots of powers, he has to work within certain limitations. And it is a common perception that CSP's in DMG group enjoy a little more powers. But in my point of view CSP's in all Groups enjoy equal powers and if one has the determination to serve Pakistan, he/she can work with good intentions in any of the Groups. And along with just providing the chance to middle/lower class to become a ruling elite, it burdens one with loads of responsibility. So, if someone aspires CSS just for becoming one of those ruling elite, he/she should readily bring himself/herself out of fools paradise.
