There was this rumour around since some time that Mr. Bhagwan Das would be the new chairman FPSC.If this news is indeed true then i think it would be a blessing for all the candidates and we should expect total transparency in the css exams and Interviews. Sigh of relief that we are all saved from a Jayalla at the helm of affairs.

Default U r right Manika Sahib

Yup brother you are right that we are saved from a jayala but interesting most of us were'nt expecting this decision from the Government - off course not without valid reasons.
Mr. Baghwan Das's appointment as a Chief Justice & finally as a head of FPSC is an encouraging omen since it testifies that our society is open & chances of upwards moblity are equally distributed. But it also speaks volume about the competence & professionalism of Mr. Baghwan Das that being a member of a minority community he achieved these covetous posts merely because of his professionalism & sense of responsibility.......

May Allah bless him the courage & the vision to lead the FPSc to a new horizon......

It is a laudble step to appoint such a dignified person on this august position of Chairman FPSC.We do hope that his appointment would add to FPSC's reputation and enhance its efficiency.

But i have heard that secretary establishment mr ismail qureshi has been asked to take the charge of chairman fpsc.
so news about appointment of bhagwandas as fpsc chairman is still ambiguous.
Isn't it?

Default great news

if Rana Bhagwandas is appointed as the Chairman then we all can expect sth good that FPSC can deliver,, he is the right man for that post, indeed its great news.
But wat about the Judicial policy in which it was mentioned that none of the serving or retired judge can take oath for any of the public office??? if im not wrong sth like this was mentioned in that policy.

Asif Amin will become famous soon enough
Wink Hope for transparency in future.

It is good news, we hope the future will be bright and transparent of FPSC, and all selection process will be on merit basis instead of nepotism and favoritism.
We hope Mr.Bhagwandas will curb corruption from FPSC and in future FPSC member has no chance to demonstrate before press club , once CSS exam date announce will never change again, allocation will announce at proper time period and also FPSC website will working properly. May Allah give courage to Mr.Bhagwandas and save him from all black sheeps.

Bhagwandas likely FPSC chairman
Islamabad—Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Tuesday forwarded the summary for appointment of Chairman Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) to the President House, sources said.

Well placed sources told Independent News Pakistan (INP) on Tuesday that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, for approval from President House, has sent a summary regarding appointment of new Chairman FPSC comprising names of former Justice Supreme Court Rana Bhagwandas, former Secretary Cabinet Ghiyasuddin and former Secretary Trade Asif Shah.

The sources said that though names of three key personalities have been sent to President House for Chairmanship of FPSC, however former justice SC Rana Bhagwandas is most probably to be appointed for the slot. Former Secretary Cabinet Ghiyasuddin belongs to Balochistan and he is brother of Nasiruddin, Principled Secretary to former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali. While former Secretary Trade Asif Shah is from NWFP and he is member of FPSC.

In accordance with constitution of the country, the power for making appointment of the Chairman FPSC is in the hands of President who would soon appoint the new Chairman after consultation with Secretary President House Salman Farooqi.

The office of the Chairman FPSC was vacant for last four months after Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Shahid Hamid completed his tenure on March 30 this year. Shahid—INP
