Higher Education A Myth For Baloch
Since the inception of higher Education commission in Pakistan for upgrading the Universities of Pakistan to be centres of education, research and development, and to play a leading role towards building a knowledge by giving out hundreds of Research and doctoral scholarships for education abroad every year. But the people of Balochistan despite of willingness and commitment for higher education abroad goes in vain, when they face the eligibility criteria of Higher Education Commission. Eligibility Criteria has been made so rigid that the those deserving and willing students of Balochistan who want to achieve Higher Education are kept on their own distance on behalf of such rigid requirements as;
(a) Maximum of two second-division passes throughout the academic career and, (b) Not less than 50% marks throughout the academic career. We can not compare the quality level of Education of Balochistan to other provinces or to the Federal because of the poor facilities in Education Sector in Balochsitan but if a candidate despite of these problems manage to willingly submit his or her documents will rather be rejected as in its all academic career from metric to master level is second division, so on the first steps the documents of the students of Balochistan are rejected so if the federal govt, including the Chairman Of Higher Education Commission,Dr.Javid Laghari is sincere enough to provide opportunity for higher education to the people of Balochistan, they must alter the rigid criteria of Higher Education Commission more flexible. |

Wash AAthke
I percieve, my opinion falls in with yours in the sense that students from balochistan face monolethic complex complexities,when they take steps to materiallize their distant dreams as regards higher education.It seems auckward that inspite of having deepest knowledge about the quality of education that prevails in balochistan,higher education appears to have done little with respect of its jaundiced policies,which deny the fundamental right of baloch youth from being highly educated.Lets hope,that higher education will revist its policy regarding balochistani students,and they will be treated according to the ground realities.
