Question Role of Media in flood crisis
What do u think about the role of media in the flood crisis? I think Media is only showing the blood situation, that is good. but it should also help the affected people practically. every body is participating in the relief activities by funding but media not. media is earning a huge revenue but it does not make any relief fund. Geo,Jang,ARY,KHABRAIN,NAWA-I-WAQT are such big groups that can help the millions of affected people but they are not doing such.

Media can easily help the flood victims only if it WANTS 2.
They can arrange shows and call celebs 2 collect funds and attract masses. They can start sms service 4 collection of money 2 help victims. As far as i know no such thing has started yet. They r just busy in criticising the politicians and pointing faults of others, but no step has been taken yet 4m their side. They should come 4wd bcoz they r the 4th pillar (huh..)
they can surley do big help and they should do.

Though the media is giving full coverage from the flood affected areas and its the duty too. No doubt, the big media tycoons must come forward and donate the flood victims. Some E and print media companies have set up fund raising camps. For example, KTN, EXPRESS, MIR KHALIR Rahman Foundation, DAWN and etc. But i dont know how much the media is contributing in the funds and the media groups must as huge earnings are made yearly.
