Well, I underpin the comments/judgments of Shallowwater & Maha. The attitude of Gen. Kiyani doesnt seem to be like that of dictators. However, he is very cencerned to the stability of the country. On the other hand, i'll oppose the notion that major political parties are working (sincerely) to promote democracy in the country. Their claims and efforts are just limitted to their debates and press confernences. Internally, they are pulling each others' legs. Even their positive statements have stinking motives to destabilize and defame the govt. These all HAJI SANAULLAAS are mean and real obstables to the democracy. Kinyani is mature enough to change the course. We are having an Ideal Army at the moment as compare to the past. As far as the politicians are concerned, they have become habitual of playing in the laps of dictators, so the military intervention wont harm these politicians as much as it would do to the country and its nation. Yes! Kinayni, as long as he is in the office, can play an important role to bring the politicians on the right track and to mend their ways.

Well Kayani is the army chief and should remain as COAS till 2013. He has nothing to do with politics. The government and the opposition both are sensible enough to take the country out of this crisis. Army is no more welcome here. The government is doing a good job, this has to be appreciated.

But, you must remember that Kiyani is keeping a vigil eye on the politics and politicians of the country. It reminds me of CM Punjab's visit to GHQ when he used the term "Punjabi Taliban" and uttered a critical statement in response to suicide attack in Lahore. His that sin immediately returned to visit him and he had to visit GHQ at the very evening (if im not wrong).
