Default The First Bomb Blast that is Welcomed

If we want to know the true public opinion about a burning issue, we should leave the internet for a while and mix with the common people on the street. Today, i came to know this while getting hair-cut at a barber shop. While waiting for my turn, i listened the people sitting there reading newspapers and commenting on current issues.
The hot topic was Bomb blast at a gambling den in karachi and most were of the view that this was the first bomb on target. According to them, the bombs have so far destroyed girls school, shrines of religious personalities and government offices but this one has destroyed a gambling den that was being run by some powerful persons and police had closed its eyes for some "reasons"
One of the person proposed more such attacks on prostitution dens, drug mafia and corrupt officials to purge the society of these evils as government has miserably failed in enforcing law in these fields.
I am wondering if this is the right approach and will it not encourage the Talibans or whoever are behind these attacks as people have started supporting their act. ? What you people say ?

Well dear This is what I observed in places like, barber shops, Villages and in the public transport.
Punishment to those carrying on illegal acts or profession is the foremost duty of the govt. But I ll not support it through unknown bomb attacks.
Being a Sociologist u may well know the Repercussions of such violent acts. Not only will this take the lives of people but also cause damage to Govt and its infrastructure, also will cause deterrence in the public and the liberty will be at stake.
Illegal profession are going on in the country with full support of the govt agencies, Why not the public come out to roads and ask the govt that such things are going on in their neighborhood? Why dont they stop it through their collective efforts?
Public opinion is of great importance if directed positively.

I dont support the opinion to blast the unethical and anti-islamic places through blasts. The rummy was licensed. And it is the duty of the law enforcement agencies to bring all criminals on the book.
Certainly, the idea will support the Taliban's mission. They have taken law into their hands and they will do more.

Islah-g, aap say tu asay he jawab milna tha. Like an official statement.

It is time for out of box thinking. People are fed up and looking for something new to solve their hardships. The government is unable to do anything cuz it is being blackmailed by its allies.Do you think the police will become active if people will protest against the gambling dens in their area from where they get millions in the shape of "monthly" ?

Ap tu be ghum hain zamany me....
well u know I dont care for official and unofficial statement over here, I think this is the only place where I can express my heart.
Being a law and politics student I stated my opinion, Punishment has some theories behind it like Deterrent, Punitive, Re-formative etc Like wise Public opinion. I am sure if the public raise its voice against something, that would be achieved.

Obviously, suicide attacks or such like actions are not justified to eliminate protitution or gambling dens. We can protest and force the people running dens to leave the place, but no such attack is warranted that may claim lives. It is fact that about more than 50% police officials/officers visit such places. The people supervising/running such places have approch/link to the higher politicial authorities/bureaucrates, so, to take action against them is not an easy task. Every police officer of district or region and other authorities know well where are such places and what is happening there, but they dont bother to take action until some incident highlights the issue etc. And, why should govt clamp down upon the dens while upper echelons of govt are found frequently visiting such places. Unemployment and poverty are the main reasons behind the existence of that dens. marti kia na karti
