Armed forces officer's induction in Civil Service
Thousands of Pakistani students ,burn in the midnight oil for passing the CSS exam while already inducted officers in our armed forces without written test get their desired groups through interview.
take a look on the following link and pass your comments : http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/admin/ne...ce%20board.pdf Question 1: Can an army officer be a good civil servant? Question 2: What do you think to what extent is it discrimination? Question 3: Should this quota be abolished? Regards, |

Dear, this is the vivid example of the discrimination. The military is cleary superior here than the civilians. The civilians aspirants endevour years to get into the civil services, but here in our homeland, the rules are only for the poor civilians. How the 32 candidates were selected for the interview only to join the civil services? What is the criteria of the seletion of the cadets? There is 10% quota for army cadets and oppositely the civilians are not blessed with this type of quota if they are willing to join the military services. The quota shall be abolished if the FPSC's top brass want to prevail eqaul justice and rule law for the citizens. The above interview also distorts the image of competition concept. Simply, the CSS is not , conceptually, a competitive based examination as it possessess 10% selection quota for the Khaki rulers. It is my request to all the aspirants to raise their voices on every forum to get their due justice and right. I myself gona write to the chairman. What you gona do my dear members?

Our slumbering youth has to wake up now. You have rightly said that this 10% quota system clearly distorts the concept of competition. When a civilian has to be inducted in army he who faces countless challenges on the contrary when the army officers have to join civil service need not to appear even in written exam. They just appear in Interview and get allocated in top four groups ( PSP ,DMG ,CUSTOMS ,FOREIGN SERVICE). I am really feeling pity for the high educated class of this country.

This is not only injustice but also Incompetence. You don't have to be brilliant now a days to get into civil services, You don't have to work hard either .. Only get physically fit and appear in a simple exam a.k.a ISSB (which is child's play) and then get into civil services exploiting the 10% quota.
I am with you and everyone else in fight against this and raising our voices against this injustice, The role of ARMY is to defend the borders and not to ESCAPE from the battle field and find a cover in civil services. They don't need to be given backdoors to join the civil services, They are simply not CIVILIANS and civil services are NOT for them If they can't come via the right path just like all other civil servants do. |

Really I'm surprised to know this. Efforts of 32 would be crippled.
Armed forces must find a better use in armed forces for those 32 :P or at least they should be given an opportunity to prove themselves in exams so they may know how it feels like. For a particular assignment, it might be okay but as permanent, how on earth can they do that.... One of the many drawbacks in system. Yes concerns must be raised.....

Well..... the aspirants must write in the newspapers and and send letters to the chairman in order to abolish the biased quota. The cadets are welcome if they follow the same procedure that is done by the civilians. @Mukt. Bro, it is easier to send a letter. It will cost Rs. 5. We should also send emails to the admin of the FPSC and protest morally against the injustice.

Unfortunately Chairman FPSC can't amend Civil Servant Rules. This is the prerogative of Federal Government ONLY.
