I have to agree that sometimes (I think out of sheer disappointment) he does utter a lot nonsense! He has to think that there are alot of people reading the newspapers and such columns can have a bad impact on their mind.

Also, in his guest appearances in different talk shows, he utters such stuff which is then placed on youtube for further bashing of Pakistan and even the idea of creation of Pakistan. For instance, have a look at the following two videos

I think it is due to the great pain he has for the people that he is disillusioned even with the creation of Pakistan . Personally i think every body has a right to express the views (irrespective whether you agree with that or not) but one should be careful where to express them and especially when you are a renowned columnist. In the present circumstances when everything is going wrong in Pakistan, one should also maintain sanity and a huge responsibility falls on the shoulders of press/media

First of all Not a big fan of Hasan Nisar, nevertheless his views regarding revolution are hard to disagree with if you read up on the history of various revolutions; especially the Russian revolution.

Revolutions are only effective if they succeed in transforming institutions rather than merely bringing about a change of leadership. The new leadership must have the capability, vision and power to rearrange the preceding structure of state institutions. And the sad truth is such leaders are extremely rare, hence the pessimistic attitude regarding revolutions is not very unrealistic.
