As per my opinion, China played a fair part.. China's foreign spokesman termed it as "deep shock", He pressurised to recognize pak's sovereignty and He also urged to undergo a proper investigation of the incident. Further, I believe that it would be a fault to keep on measurement relation of a wel known friend at harsh times...

Furthermore for the relation of China I would like to add that China wouldn't find any neighbour state better than Pakistan! So chill! It wont compromise Pak's sovereignty...

FRENZ,Frankly speaking,i don't think so that china is in invigorous relationship with pakistan, also i m not denying to the fact that china has been abeting pakistan but in limits of economical and social, geographical terms...as it is also being benefiting from these terms and condition,,the problem lies here is that if china claimed to be an ally of pakistan,so why not it is repeatedly releasing severe and prompt statement over illegal natostrike to pakistan....though it has released a statement but haven't clicked severe to me.........
the reality is that both of these countries have some personal interest,of being in a friendly terms.....

Lightbulb Its the balance of power working element in producing such statements.

As per my conclusion, the chinesse dialogues are the root consequence of the famous chapter of I.R, that is, diplomacy! whenever a country faces the rise in its position, its main language is 'friendly to ALL'. this is the diplomatic conversation of countries maintaining their positions and leaving a room for assumptions providing them to play a safe card.
China accordingly has been able to maintain a healthy openning in west and somehow would retain the mute phase for a while ther, as per the east or Pakistan, china is fully aware that those who are in position like the present pakistan would gain credibility only when pakistan wakes up!!!
Pakistan now needs to be itself defending, fighting and forcing the world to realize that it is still alive!!!

Look there are different angles to this:

A. As already pointed out by several members, China has in fact released statements friendly to Pakistan, and is sufficient for the moment.

B. China is too pre-occupied in the now escalated military position in the Indian Ocean and Pacific region. USA is making alliances with countries between India to Australia so as to check Chinese hegemony over the blue waters. China, although, very determined and clear regarding its right over South CHina Sea, cannot afford to 'escalate' the situation militarily by 'opening up too many fronts'. No country still in the process of developing its navy can. Its navy is jumping by leaps and bounds yet its nothing compared to US Naval strength.

C. However, China & Pak recently wrapped up their joint military exercises inside Pak and along the China-Pak-Indo border. This always sends the strongest message to hostile countries around the region including US. Stronger than any statement lashed out. It essentially means in layman's lingo, "Mess with us, and you'll have to pay up"

D. Russia on the other hand is flawed by domestic problems like corruption, waning popularity of Putin's party and economic woes. General elections took place (yesterday I think), and as one can imagine, public sentiments are near the boiling point. There are calls for setting the record straight with US' exit from Afghanistan and Russia's role for the future within the region. Hence, Russia lashed out strong statements against US action and is also using this opportunity to threaten US to remove missile shield systems in place around Euro border-or face cordoning off THE ONLY OTHER supply route to and from A-tan apart from Pak, which of course, is blocked too. The idea is to strangulate US in A-tan just like USSR was once.

All the above is VERY Pak- friendly. Pakistan just has to play its cards right from here on. We have natural allies on our side.
