Default Media in Pakistan covers limited horizon !

For Pakistani media the world commences and concludes in Pakistan. Switch to any of the TV channels and you'll encounter the argies bargies not beyond this specific boundry. As if, we have a right to know about the social, political or economic developments of our land only! It seems as if we are not a constituent unit of the globalised world and so we lack the right to know about entire globe. We are enslaved and are simultaneously denied our right to think beyond specific domestic issues.

Where the world is going through multiple political, social and economic changes, where 15000 plus humans (or Muslims) have lost their lives in Syria, where the regimes are undergoing drastic changes, where thousands of Rohingya Muslims are being slaughtered, burnt and crushed ruthlessly in Myanmer (Burma), etc; our TV anchors are busy maligning the Parliamentarians at times and Judiciary at others. Sometimes they criticize our army and sometimes they seem hell busy instilling the opinions about moral degradedness or unethical behavioural patterns of Pakistani society. And all this mess keeps going on 24/7.

This self-proclaimed fourth-pillar of the state not only sensationalize the news, but also helps raising the blood-pressure of the viewers. Totally biased it has become. Its policies seem no more objective but only in a sense to improve the ratings.

yes you are right, if you watch any news channel, you would promptly be convinced that Pakistan will not be there tomorrow, but Pakistan is still there and will be till the doomsday...the media has become a puppet in the hands of foreign powers who want to create chaos and disappointment in our country, the gloomy picture portrayed by Pakistani media of our country has led many to suffer from high blood pressures and even strokes...they portray such a bright picture of Indians that all prosperity and wealth has accumulated there but this is a far cry from reality...i was one day listening to an expert of south Asian affairs who has lifelong experience of arch rivals in this part of Asia, he says that Pakistan is far advanced and develoed society than India in each and every respect, may it be Infrastructure, economy or any thing else...in the end he says that it is all in the MARKETING,how better you present your country but alas our media is not ours, so we lack a patriotic marketing vehicle....

Dear, you are very right.Actually, our media groups are owned by business men who have no interest in anything but the profit which they could get from these spicy news. They dont know about the educative value of media.
One thing really amazed me when i saw a few clips of"Utho Jago Pakistan"..in which Shaista wahidi invited the so-called religious scholors and they frequently talked about the"black magic and status of soul after death".A country where only 13%women are literate and majority of them are living in rural areas, such programmes could play a havoc.Though,my statement does not match to the topic, but here the question comes about the policy and role of media, therefore,i feel appropriate to mention this thing here.It is crying need of the hour to settle the boundaries of electronic as well as SOCIAL MEDIa now.
Regards

200 Prcnt right.. the reason is that our media is dependant on Mobilink, Telenor, and other mobile companies. As these companies are providing money to these channels which is major source of income. How these channel get Adds, well it is another shocking story of Pakistan....
Whenever they will get independant they will telecast Right and Authentic News, Reports about Pakistan. As far as these TV Anchors are concerned they had craving towards relationship with Politicians, their families, their sons, daughters, Bahria Town, Villas, etc etc.
So i feel we must behave or react "moderate" on such type of news or reports, whatever they telecast. We must create our own point of view and thinking regarding Pakistan.
As I love my country.....

one more thing...now i would like to bring philosophy in the context, i think we all should avoid to watch these TV channels as we help them increase their rating in the basis of which all their business is done and if and only if we watch them, we must watch them with tings of skepticism which is the basic tool of Philosopher David Hume...there are many things that these media deliberately is not showing, may it be Islamists win in Egyptian elections or gruesome killings of Muslims in Myanmar...these are not Pakistanis we must oust them from our ranks.....

Media in Pakistan is immature. Most of the anchor persons originally belongs to print media. They are not aware of the responsibilities of electronic media. They sensitize the issues. Serious topics has been the shows. Main reason for this is commercialization of media. Virtue is not saleable. So, They sell evils. They only highlight the demerits and underplay the merits. They are not patriotic.
There were people who were against the creation of Pakistan. Media took them. Media in Pakistan is under the influence of foreign lobby. They want to destabilise Pakistan.
Israeli media is declaring the Palestinians and Indian media to Kashmiris, the terrorists. Their media is patriotic. But the case is reverse in Pakistan.
Media is not working under its limits. Clash between the institutions is mainly because of media.

Question Thanks its a serious topic

yes dear brother its quite right our media is mostly included of news round islamabad and beyond their r mostly absurd crime shows, our media firstly have no knowledge of news of operations carried out by army in balochistan and fata they just rely on breifings given away by army,s media links, far is to expect our media to give news of world.fairly speaking they r just proffesional media persons who just want to sold their news.
